An Agreement

"My mother is getting sick and is now in the hospital," Edric said to Irene who was seen sitting in front of him.

The two of them were in a university cafe where Irene taught.

"So, so what? What's that got to do with me?"  asked Irene curtly,

That surprised Edric quite a bit because Irene didn't care about his mother's condition after all time they spent life together.

"I want you to meet her. She misses you so much!"  asked Edric to Irene who even didn't have any excuse to look his eyes.

"No," And Irene refused his request, she looked very strict when she spoke.

"I'll pay you for it."  Edric made an offer, it seemed he was imposing his will.

"No," And Irene still refused at that point.

"Don't make me force you, Irene!"  With such a cold tone Edric spoke.

"And I will curse your mother to 'die' right in front of her if you keep pushing!"  replied Irene, delivering a surprising threat.

The woman seemed to smile mockingly at Edric.

"Irene!"  Edric tried to stay calm when facing Irene, even though he wanted to be angry.

"My time is up. There's nothing more to talk about and don't bother me anymore!"  asked Irene who had stood up and stepped away, leaving in a rush.

"No!"  But her steps stopped when Edric had stood up and gripped the woman's wrist tightly.  "Whatever it is, I'll give it to you, so I beg you, come see my mother!"

"Main house out Dorian, how?" Irene replied offering,

"......." And Edric fell silent, deep in thought.

"Just forget it!"  Then Irene removed her hand from the man.

"Okay," And before walking away, she was surprised to hear the answer from Edric.

"All right," then she stepped back,

"I'll give it but… marry me!"

"Are you crazy? You think I'm out of my mind?"

"What I mean, it's just enough to pretend. I also wouldn't leave Lucy," said Edric, making an offer to Irene smiling in pain, recalling all the miseries she got from her step-sister.

"Ahhh… but, I want  Dorian's main house and everything in it, including all of your servants who let you torment me while I was there and also who helped you slander me?"  Irene also made an offer,

"....." And Edric fell silent again.

"Okay, forget about that illogical agreement! I'm too lazy to meet your mother even just once," said Irene, who had stepped back.

She smiled gently when she saw Cayden, her best friend sitting in a chair by the door of the cafe, waiting for her.

Meanwhile, cafe customers were also seen standing outside because the cafe had been specially ordered so that Edric could talk alone with Irene.

"Okay, fine," Edric replied in agreement, "Then stop walking! I still have something to talk to you about," Edric asked as he took quick steps to catch up with Irene and then forced the woman's body to turn around to see him.

"What else, Bastard? Let go of my hand! You've wasted so much of my time and there's nothing else for us to talk about. Can't you see there are a lot of people outside this cafe still waiting for us to leave? Come on, Edric, just end this conversation!"  asked Irene who had removed Edric's hands from his upper arms.

"You don't look serious about this agreement, Irene. What about our contract? What about a sign of agreement? I don't see you actually agreeing to my request," Edric replied, looking to hold back his emotions,

"You just need to make a contract and I sign it, right? That's it, that's enough and we don't need to talk about agreements or contracts before it's all made," Irene replied starting to turn around again, turning her back on Edric.  "You're so annoying!"

She left Edric who seemed to be standing, looking at her back in awe.

Meanwhile, Cayden had been waiting for Irene to come out of the cafe.  He looked with an irritated face at the woman.

 "Sorry Cayden!"

"What are you guys talking about? Why are you guys talking so long in there?"  Cayden asked the woman who seemed to smile gently at him.

"I just need to visit her sick mother. That's all, nothing else," Irene replied together with the cafe visitors who had entered inside.

"I don't believe it. I'm sure you're hiding something from me," Cayden said in a serious tone and he kept walking.

"Ah shit!"  cursed Irene who felt guilty, "Why don't you trust me? I am your best friend. Even though you keep having sex with other women I am still by your side but why don't you trust me who is always with you?"

Irene spoke in a high tone, she stepped to catch up to Cayden who had taken the first step.

 "Bullshit!"

"Come on, Dude, don't be so rude to me!"  asked Irene who had approached Cayden then released the man's backpack, and made Cayden stop his steps,

"Give me that bag, Cayden!"  Irene asked the man who kept walking without even looking at her.  "The data I need is in there, isn't it?"  asked Irene with a cheerful smile,

"No, this time I won't give you results. Just work on the data you need yourself!"  said Cayden who was furious, he pulled his bag and stepped back.

"I promise that after I meet his mother and complete her request, I will stop teaching and meet your parents!"  said Irene,

That made Cayden startled and stopped his footsteps.

 "Are you sure?!"

"I never break my promise, unlike you," said Irene, confirming her words.

"Ohh, then come over here and give me a hug!"  ordered Cayden who appeared to be standing next to a tree, the edge of the main road.

"Damn, this one jerk man!"  Irene said with a gentle smile then stepped quickly,

"Promise me quickly!"  She hugged Cayden and heard her request.

"I promise you."  Then she answered the man's request.

"I really feel very strange when a woman who is going to marry me hugs another man," said a male voice standing behind Irene.

And Cayden was in shock and constantly released the hug for the woman with great surprise.
