Carmen’s POV

We signed the contracts in front of the cameras, and Edna and I talked some more.

“Excuse me, I have to take this,” Chase said when his phone rang.

A tiny part of me wondered slightly if it was Tiana calling to keep track on what was going on, and if that was the reason he was so eager to go out and take her call, but I had to remind myself to not cross the line between professional and private.

I had to try as much as I could to keep my eyes and heart away from Chase’s personal life, but hopefully, he would be able to talk to Tiana so that I wouldn’t have to deal with her anymore, or less.

And that she wouldn’t ruin things for him.

Edna and I continued talking, and after a while, we came to a conclusion to meet up over the weekend, right after the tournament.
