Chapter 101: Claire’s POV

I wake up to Leo holding me in his arms with his hand resting gently on my belly and I realize my small sense of freedom was over. Charlotte was released last night but at least I had gotten a decent nights sleep. I get up slowly and look out the window. There were already unmarked vehicles lining the street to watch after me. It’s safe to assume Mason was the one who called for them and I feel a bit uneasy. I grab my phone and decide to call Mason and see if there were any updates on the motion from this morning.

“Hey Claire, is everything alright? I didn’t get any notifications from the officers?” He asks calmly.

“Hi Mason, I’m okay. I was just wondering how the motion was going for Charlotte’s institutionalization. I know the hearing at was eight o’clock this morning.” Could he have bad news? Was the judge able to overlook her malicious behavior?

    Leonardo paved as he waited for the nurse and doctor to check in on me. He was nervous and I could see why. We weren’t expecting the boys to set their arrival just yet.
