It’s early morning when I’m awaken by the sweet smell of breakfast. I roll over to see that Leo is nowhere to be found and attempt to get out of bed swiftly. The boys were near delivering soon and their growth had restricted most of my movement but I had no complaints. In just three days, I’d have my hand surgically repaired and in about three to four weeks, my boys would be in my arms.

I go to the bathroom to do my typical routine of morning sickness, brushing my teeth and getting dressed before I follow the aroma of deliciousness. I freeze as I see someone standing next to Leo and begin smiling with joy. It was my dearest Elena.

“Oh! Ms. Claire, I didn’t mean to wake you!” She turns as she drops the spatula in response to my excitement and rushes to hug me. “Mr. Leo had me dropped off this morning. He tells me you see the doctor about your hand and today, you go to police station to press charges.” She says as she rubs my belly.
