Chapter 22

Rosalie was in a state of confusion. She had been trying to contact Ricardo, the notorious mafia kingpin, for the past few days, but all her efforts had been in vain.

All the numbers which she used to call him were blocked. She tried a few more times, but the result was the same. She couldn't reach him.

Frustrated and unable to understand why Ricardo blocked her, Rosalie replayed their last phone call in her mind.

They had spoken briefly about a new deal, and he had seemed pretty mad at her after she refused to accept his terms of selling her drugs at a lower price than what they had agreed upon in their previous deal.

But, she didn't see any significant reason why he would go to the extreme of blocking her.

After multiple failed attempts, she decided to discuss the issue with her confidant,
