Chapter 3

Harley was not happy as Ricardo and Rosalie praise her for a well-done job In the field mafia, and other girls want to be like Harley, but It wasn't easy for them, and they became jealous of Harley, they plot a lot of evil plans against Harley, but she always overcomes and prevails,

Harley doesn't mingle with other girls and she doesn't smile or laugh, always serious In any assignments given to her,

King Ricardo and Rosalie so much like Harley to the extent that he treats Harley like his daughter, he changed her from living with other girls, and he gave her a standard room apartment, well furnished and decorated,

Harley didn't expect another task that suddenly came to her, she sat in the dimly lit room, staring blankly at the wall in front of her. She had been with Ricardo for two years, now, serving as his distraction in every drug operation he carried out. It was a difficult life, but she had no other choice. Her parents had been killed in a mafia war, and she had been sold to Ricardo to pay off a debt. Suddenly, the door burst open and Rosalie, Ricardo's right-hand woman, walked in. "Harley," she said, her voice low and commanding. "We need to talk."

Harley looked up, her eyes meeting Rosalie's. "What is it?" she asked, already feeling nervous,

Rosalie sat down next to her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "We've been watching you, Harley," she said, "And we think it's time for you to step up to another level of our job" she explained,

Harley's heart began to race. What did they mean? Was she going to be given more responsibility, or were they going to get rid of her?

"We want to train you," Rosalie continued, "We want you to be able to use a gun, to catch a target perfectly. We want you to be one of us,"

Harley felt a wave of fear descends on her. She had never used a gun before, and the thought of being involved in the mafia's violent world scared her. But at the same time, she knew she couldn't refuse. Ricardo and Rosalie had been good to her, and she owed them her life.

"I-I'll do it," she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper,

Rosalie smiled, patting her shoulder, "Good girl. We'll start tomorrow,"

The next day, Harley was taken to a shooting range. Rosalie handed her a gun and showed her how to load it. Harley's hands shook as she aimed at the target, her heart racing.

"Take a deep breath," Rosalie said beside her, "And focus," she said,

Harley took a deep breath, steadying her hands, She pulled the trigger, and the shot rang out through the range, She missed the target by a wide margin, but Rosalie only smiled,

"That's okay," she said. "It takes practice. We'll keep working on it,"

And so they did, Every day, they trained Harley in the art of shooting, teaching her how to aim, how to breathe, how to steady her hands. And slowly, she began to improve,

But it wasn't just shooting that they taught her, they also showed her how to track a target, how to blend in with a crowd, how to pick locks and hotwire cars. Harley was becoming one of them, and she wasn't sure how she felt about it.

One day, Ricardo called her into his office, "Harley," he said, his voice low. "We have a job for you"

Harley's heart sank. She knew what this meant. She was going to have to use the skills they had taught her to hurt someone,

"What do you want me to do?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Ricardo leaned forward, his eyes locked on hers. "There's a man we need you to take out. He's been causing us problems, and we need him gone, can you do this?" Ricardo asked,

Harley swallowed hard, her palms sweating, "Yes," she said, her voice barely audible,

"Good," Ricardo said, handing her a file. "Here's everything you need to know. Study it well."

And so Harley did, She read about the man, his habits, his schedule. She planned out the perfect time to strike,

Harley used to go in Infront of the man every day to study his movement, and at times she used to go to the park beside his house, she used to go to watch basketball In the man's neighborhood,

Harley studies the man perfectly before she moves to strike,

It was a warm night when Harley finally carried out her mission. She waited outside the man's house, watching as he left for a late-night walk. She followed him, her heart pounding in her chest.

And then, with a steady hand, she pulled out her gun and fired. The man fell to the ground, dead.

Harley stood there for a moment, her hands shaking. What had she just done? She had taken a life, and it felt like it was crushing her,

But then she heard Ricardo's voice in her ear. "Good job, Harley. You're one of us now," Ricardo said,

“ Are you around?“ Harley asked with a shaking voice,

“It's okay, I can't leave alone, this Is your first task, I've been around before your arrival” King Ricardo explained, Ricardo embraced her, and he said, “come Into the car, let's go,” he said,

Harley thought of absconding and eloping, but with what happened that Ricardo always around her, Harley knows that she can't elop, and she knows that If she elop, King Ricardo and Rosalie will found her and bring her back,

Harley erased the idea of elop or running away from them In her mind, but she was still hoping to see an alternative way to be free,

And she knew that there was no going back. She was a member of the mafia, and she would do whatever it took to survive,

A few days later, Harley's conscience was disturbing her, and he walked Into King Ricardo's chamber, and when Ricardo saw Harley In his chamber, he asked, “Is there any problem?“

“No sir” Harley retorted,

“Okay, call me godfather,” Ricardo said,

“Okay godfather, I just want to ask a question,” Harley said with her shaking voice,

“Talk to me freely, see me as your father and friend, don't be scared of me, you are just like my daughter, okay, he robs her hair, kissed her forehead, “As from today, see me as your father, calls me dad,” King Ricardo said,

“Alright Dad, why did you send me to kill that man,” Harley asked,
