“I mean It, I want us to have a child, we built this kingdom together, now the kingdom has Value and worth something more that credits, now you are looking for a heir or heiress, yes, I can give you, we can work things out, you are man, and I'm woman, we can eventually produce our heir or heiress, not for a stranger to be your heiress when I'm able to give you heir” Rosalie said.while tears dripping down from her eyes,

“It's late to be doing all this, when we met ten years ago, we had a conversation on this Issues, then, I want you to have just a child for me then, but you are busy with your numerous boyfriends, I offered you money to give me a child,but you declined the offer, now that you are ready, I can't be a father anymore” Ricardo explained,

“How did you know that you can't be a father, who tells you that?“ Rosalie asked,

“The last medical test results proved It, the doctor advised me to send my sperm for a laboratory test which I did, and there's nothing I can do about It, and I can't adopt a baby, I prefer to adopt a girl that knows much about my job, the girl that can manage my business” Ricardo explained,

“Do you mean this stupid girl.will Inherit this kingdom and all that I laboured for?“ Rosalie Inquired,

“Rosalie, please, don't raise your eyebrows at me, I'm your boss, and I paid your salary, I demand respect from you” Ricardo said with annoyance,

“My king, we have gone a long way, and we have done so many things together, we've shared many secrets, and we built this kingdom together, I think I suppose to have a say” Rosalie said,

“Tell me your problems, tell me what you want, money, drugs, make your demands, I'm up to the task,” Ricardo said,

“Don't worry, I don't need anything, I have to go back to my apartment” Rosalie,

“Don't hurt my daughter because I cherished her” Ricardo said,

Rosalie stared at Ricardo and she left the chamber to her apartment, and she started thinking of how to distract Ricardo's mind from Harley, her mind was wandering, she couldn't sleep, Rosalie wants to become a mafia queen, but she doesn't want to eliminate Ricardo, but she seeings the future that Harley Is going to be the mafia's queen of the kingdom,

Rosalie started to plots different type of plan against Ricardo and Harley,

A few days later, Ricardo called all his guys and his associates In the kingdom for special announcement,

As Harley and Rosalie and others stood in front of Ricardo in his lavish office, he announced his decision,

"I've decided to adopt Harley," Ricardo looked at her tenderly. "She's got a sharp mind and is an asset to our kingdom."

Harley's heart swelled with pride, She had worked hard to gain Ricardo's trust and she was thrilled he wanted to adopt her,

Rosalie, however, felt a pang of jealousy, She had been Ricardo's right-hand woman for years and now this newcomer was stealing the spotlight,

"But Ricardo," Rosalie interjected. "What about me? Don't you want a child of your own?"

"Rosalie, you know I can't have any more children." Ricardo looked at her apologetically, “we have discussed on this matter, and we had a conversations, and everything Is sealed, and my decision Is Harley has become like a daughter to me. I want to give her the best life possibly,” Ricardo explained,

Rosalie's eyes narrowed. She couldn't let Harley become the Mafia king's favorite. She had to find a way to get rid of her,

Later that day, Rosalie cornered Harley in the hallway,

"I don't appreciate you trying to take Ricardo's affection away from me," Rosalie said,

"I'm not trying to do that," Harley replied calmly. "I'm just grateful for the opportunity he's given me” Harley said,

Rosalie snorted. "You're delusional if you think he's adopting you out of the kindness of his heart, he wants to use you to further his own goals," Rosalie said,

Harley shook her head. "I don't believe that."

"It's true," Rosalie insisted. "You're just a pawn in his game." Rosalie said,

Harley glared at her. "I won't let you get in my way," Harley said, and she walked away from Rosalie,

The tension between the Harley and Rosalie grew as Rosalie continued to scheme against Harley, She spread rumors about her around the mafia kingdom and tried to turn the other members against her,

But Harley was resilient, She worked hard and proved her worth to Ricardo time and time again,

As the weeks passed, Rosalie's jealousy turned into hatred,

"I can't stand that girl," Rosalie seethed to one of her allies, "She thinks she's so special just because Ricardo wants to adopt her, But I'll show her who's boss, between us" Rosalie said,

One night, as Harley was leaving from assignment giving to her late In the night, she was attacked by a group of men, but she managed to escaped, but she received beaten from those men, and Harley landed In the hospital, but discharged later same day,

Rosalie had paid them to scare her off and make her leave the kingdom for good,

Then second time Harley was attacked by Rosalie's guys, she didn't know that Harley was tougher than she looked, She fought back with all her might and managed to escape with just a few bruises,

Word of the attack quickly reached Ricardo, who was furious, and he quickly summons Rosalie,

"Rosalie, did you have something to do with this?" Ricardom demanded

Rosalie tried to deny it, but her guilt was written all over her face, so couldn't denying,

"I can't believe you would stoop so low," Ricardo seethed, “you need to stop all these newly cultivated habits of yours” Ricardo said, and she returned to his chamber,

Rosalie was stunned, She had never been reprimanded by Ricardo before. She had always been his most trusted advisor, and his right hand woman,

But in the end, her jealousy had gotten the best of her. She had lost sight of what was truly important - the loyalty and trust she had built with Ricardo over the years.

Harley continued to work for Ricardo and proved to be a valuable asset to the kingdom, Ricardo had made the right choice in adopting her - she was just as intelligent and capable as he had thought,

As for Rosalie, she quickly left the kingdom, she left with some guys, and some girls that are having grudge against Ricardo because he shows much Interest In her than them,

Rosalie jealousy and bitterness had destroyed everything she had worked so hard to achieve, but she didn't see It as lost because she went to build up her kingdom,
