LILY'S POV:

My dad must have been discharged already and is already back to work. I sighed at how stubborn he can get. He's supposed to be at home, getting better or better still, on a vacay.

I just nodded as I continued playing with my fingers.

My mind wandered back to Nikolai and why he isn't awake till now? Did the doctors miss something during the surgery? Why doesn't he want to come back to me?

I sighed as I remembered the strange dream I had about the flower field and Nikolai fading.

"I'll ask the doctor if you can eat... It's porridge and vegetables with beef", Mrs Vladimir said before leaving the hospital room.

It was left with Galina and I. She sat by my bed side, staring into space but I could still see the sadness she tries to mask.

"Everything okay Gal?", I asked and she flinched when she heard me call her name unexpectedly. I furrowed my brows at why she was jumpy.
