Kane's POV

By the time we reached the hospital, I saw Frank standing with a group of doctors just outside the OR. His face was dark—like a thunderstorm ready to break.

"Where is she?" I rushed up, nearly out of breath.

The doctors turned to look at us, their expressions grim.

My heart nearly stopped.

"It's that serious?" I could barely get the words out. My chest tightened like a vice.

Frank waved the doctors off and glanced at Baron, who immediately took the hint and found an excuse to leave.

"Internal bleeding. It's critical," Frank said, keeping his voice as steady as he could—but the worry in his eyes said more than his words ever could.

"There's more, isn't there?" I stared at him, unwilling to accept that was the full story.

He hesitated, then placed a firm hand on my shoulder.

"Kane...I know how much she means to you. But you need to stay calm."

My stomach dropped. Something was very wrong.

"What is it?" I demanded.

"She's JK (a-b-), a rare Kidd blood type."

The words didn't re

  • The Billionaire Regret After My Goodbye   I Woke Up to Him Chewing My Fingers

Aria's POVI frowned as consciousness crept in, my lips unbearably dry. I tried to speak, but nothing came out. My gaze drifted from Kane's face down to—I froze. He was holding my hand...and my finger was wet.Slick with saliva. My brain short-circuited.That tingly, sharp little pain I felt earlier—it wasn't part of a dream. It was real. That's what woke me up.And the first thing I saw?Kane, gnawing on my damn finger. What the hell was I supposed to feel about that?Embarrassed? Confused? Disgusted?I didn't even know. My mind was in a fog, my heart twisted into something awkward and tangled. Without saying a word, I closed my eyes again. Pretended to sleep. I couldn't deal with him right now.He leaned in, his voice soft and careful. "Are you in pain?"I didn't answer. He gently wiped the saliva from my finger, then asked again, "Where does it hurt?""My head," I muttered, my voice scratchy and raw. The words came out like gravel. He tensed like I was about to pass out again. His

  • The Billionaire Regret After My Goodbye   Blood on Her Hands

Gabriella's POVI stormed into the house like a whirlwind, not even bothering to say hello. Straight up the stairs. Thankfully, only the maids were around this time of day—and they knew better than to speak to me. I've made it abundantly clear I don't regard them as anything more than background noise.Once in my room, I hurled my purse to the floor and bolted into the bathroom, slamming the door behind me and locking it. The faucet screeched as I turned it to full blast, the sound of rushing water drowning out my pounding heart.I scrubbed my hands violently, as if I could wash away something vile—something rotten clinging to my skin.I knew exactly what was happening between ATTA and ACE. Kane was leading the charge, forcing ACE into retreat after retreat. It was a massacre, and I knew exactly who was behind it.Aria.She's back. After she fled from ATTA, I thought I'd finally have some peace. But Kane...he's still fighting for her. Still protecting her.God, I could scream. She ran

  • The Billionaire Regret After My Goodbye   She Was Still Mine

Baron's POVI stayed at Amos' clinic, but my mind was anywhere but here. The moment Kane left the hospital, I had this sinking feeling in my gut. The way Aria got hurt—it didn't add up. I needed to figure out exactly what happened.I called the traffic department to get a report on the scene, then immediately had someone pull the street surveillance footage and check for witnesses.Of course, I didn't forget what Kane asked me to do either. I'd already sent someone to handle things on Edric's end.Standing in the hallway, I gripped my phone tighter, brows drawn into a hard knot. "No one saw anything? What about the traffic cams?"The voice on the other end was apologetic. "It was rush hour. No one was paying attention to the sidewalk. That section of road's a blind spot for cameras—nothing caught the incident.""There were a few parked cars nearby, but none had dashcams. We checked the jewelry store's camera at the corner, but it was partially blocked. Didn't catch the important parts

  • The Billionaire Regret After My Goodbye   A Race Against Blood and Time

Kane's POVMy voice was raw. "What did you just say? She only has forty minutes?!"I grabbed Frank by the collar, rage flooding every vein in my body. My hands were shaking, and my eyes—if they weren't on fire, they sure as hell felt like it.Frank gently tapped my wrist. "Kane, you need to calm down and listen—""Calm down?" I cut him off with a growl. "Are you telling me she's going to be dead in forty minutes?!"I couldn't say the word. Dead. It was like a blade stuck in my throat. Just thinking it made me sick.Frank exhaled slowly. "I told you from the beginning—her condition is critical."My fists clenched so tightly I could hear my knuckles crack. My vision blurred with rage and fear. The nurse stepped forward. Her voice was small, but every word stabbed me clean through the chest. "We've contacted every blood bank. Dr. Gemma is still reaching out, but there's been no match so far. We...we don't know what else to do."No. No, no, no.I let out a roar and kicked a nearby trash b

  • The Billionaire Regret After My Goodbye   The Crash

Aria's POVI pushed myself up from the couch, my legs wobbling beneath me. My ears were ringing so loudly it felt like the world was spinning off its axis. I was seconds away from throwing up.And just in time to hear Edric call me a "corporate spy."I laughed—an eerie, bitter sound that even made me shiver."Have you ever seen a ‘corporate spy' like me?" I sneered, locking eyes with him, all the hope in mine long since drained. "I was just your shield. A disposable pawn."I grabbed my suitcase for support and dragged myself forward. As I passed him, I shot him a smile—sharp and venomous. He flinched. Actually flinched. And stepped back."What the hell are you doing, Aria?" he barked, his face pale. "Are you trying to make a scene?"My voice was soft, almost gentle. "I've never caused a scene in my life."I turned away and faced the rest of the office, raising my voice just enough to reach every ear."Why couldn't we close the ATTA contract? Edric, shouldn't you be the one explaining
