Sienna’s POV

The pale light of dawn seeped through the sheer curtains, painting soft streaks across the marble floor. The city outside was just waking up, calm and serene. It was a stark contrast to the turmoil twisting quietly in my chest.

I slipped out of bed and moved to the balcony. The cold air brushed against my skin, sending a faint chill down my spine. Below, Paris stretched in its morning grace. Cars began to hum, people walked briskly, and cafés were setting up for the day. I took a slow sip from my cup of coffee, letting the bitterness settle on my tongue as I stared at the horizon.

There was beauty in this stillness, but it was not enough to quiet my mind. My thoughts were already running through the day’s checklist, the people to meet, the calls to make, and the plans already in motion.

I reached for my phone and unlocked it. A message from my assistant blinked at the top of the screen, confirming my appointment for the afternoon. My lips pressed together in mild i

Riley’s PovI picked the call that interrupted my discussion with Zara, but before I could even say a word, the call ended.I stared at my phone for a second, confused. I tried calling back immediately, but the call went unanswered. But this number had just called me, so why was the person not picking up now.I sighed softly and placed the phone beside me, deciding not to dwell on it for now. I turned my attention back to Zara, who had already resumed talking like nothing happened. She went on about her friend who had just launched a new brand and was searching for a PR planner and strategist. She spoke with so much confidence about me that it made my chest warm. She said she was sure I would be perfect for the role and that I would deliver exceptionally well.I realized how much people believed in me now, and it felt reassuring in ways I did not know I needed.I gave her my work email and my number, asking her to pass it along so they could reach out for further discussions. • The Billionaire She Rejected.   Chapter 190: Acceptance.

Riley’s PovI watched Michael sit quietly after I finished telling him everything that happened while he was in a coma. He did not interrupt me, nor did he try to hide what he was feeling.Every emotion crossed his face clearly, anger and disbelief fading into a quiet hurt.Seeing him like that made my chest tighten. I wished I could take some of that weight off him. After a while, he looked at me and spoke softly. “Take me to see Grandma.”His voice was weak and slow, so different from the steady voice I was used to hearing. I nodded at once and pressed the call button, and the nurse came in. With her help, Michael was carefully settled into a wheelchair. I stayed close, holding onto the handles as we moved through the hallway toward Grandma’s ward. When we knocked and stepped inside, Grandma’s eyes widened, then filled with tears as a bright smile spread across her face. She looked like someone who had just received the best news of her life.Ferdinand stilled for a second befo

  • The Billionaire She Rejected.   Chapter 189: Awakening.

Michael’s PovMy eyes finally opened after fighting the endless darkness that had wrapped itself around me for what felt like forever.I could not tell how long I had been trapped there. Time did not exist in that place. It felt like drowning without water, like sinking deeper no matter how hard I tried to swim upward. I remembered trying again and again to break free, pushing myself forward only to be dragged back into the dark.Sometimes, I heard voices. They came and went. Some were close, like someone was leaning beside me and speaking softly. Other times, they were distant, like echoes bouncing off thick walls. I tried to focus on them, but every attempt left me exhausted. This time was different though, because I fought it harder and did not give in easily.I pushed through the darkness pressing against my eyes. And then, suddenly, there was light. Faint at first, then brighter, until it forced my eyes open.I blinked slowly, my vision blurred slightly, confusion settling

  • The Billionaire She Rejected.   Chapter 188: A Small Celebration.

Riley’s PovAfter the meeting ended, the boardroom felt heavy with mixed emotions. Those who wanted Michael reinstated were quietly jubilant, their relief obvious in the way they smiled and whispered to one another. On the other hand, those who stood against him sat stiffly in their seats, their faces tight with disappointment and barely concealed resentment.Even with everything that had just happened, I could not miss the tension hanging thickly between Ferdinand and Eleanor. He did not spare her a single glance before leaving the boardroom. He walked out first, leaving her seated behind with a rigid posture that spoke louder than words.I turned just in time to see the old director walking toward me. I met him halfway, and he smiled warmly as he reached me.“You did well, my dear,” he said sincerely. “You fought for Michael like someone who truly believes in him.”“Thank you, sir, I just did what I felt was right.” I replied. He nodded approvingly. “Michael chose wisely. Not just

  • The Billionaire She Rejected.   Chapter 187: Reinstatement.

Riley’s POVI lifted my head and saw Mr Gray step into the boardroom.“I’m sorry for the interruption,” he said calmly as he walked in.Chairs scraped against the floor as everyone stood up in shock.A few of the directors rushed forward to greet him, their earlier confidence evaporating in seconds. I watched quietly as he exchanged handshakes, then paused to pull the older director who had supported me into a brief embrace. That single gesture told me everything I needed to know. Mr Gray moved toward the head of the table. Eleanor stood up at once and stepped aside, her movements stiff and controlled. He took the seat, nodding at her with a polite smile. The room slowly settled back into silence.“It has been a long time since I last attended a board meeting,” Mr Gray began, his voice steady. “After years of retirement and rest, I truly did not think I would ever sit in this chair again.”A few of the directors nodded, their faces carefully neutral.“Thanks to my son,” he continu

  • The Billionaire She Rejected.   Chapter 186: The Clause.

Riley’s POVI stood in front of the wall mirror, adjusting the sleeves of my jacket while staring at my reflection. My hands moved carefully, smoothing imaginary creases that were not really there. I knew I was doing it out of nerves, but I let myself have that moment.Today was the final day.The board members were reconvening to make their decision, and whatever happened in that room would determine Michael’s future with the company he built with his own sweat. I had gathered every piece of evidence I could, cross checked every document, and prepared myself for every question I could think of. Still, hope was the only thing I was clinging to now.I turned away from the mirror and stepped out of the restroom. My steps slowed as I approached Michael’s bed. He lay there quietly, his chest rising and falling in a steady rhythm that I had memorized over the past days.I leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to his forehead. His skin was warm beneath my lips, grounding me in a way no
