Chapter Thirty-one

“ I said you should move this car, now!! Or you lose your Job” He yelled at him. The Assistant started the car, he flashed them with the light and the two men ran away with Vanessa’s bag.

Alfred yelled at the Assistant to stop the car again and he ran out of the car, he ran to Vanessa who was kneeling on the ground. She held Mara to her chest as Mara cried. Alfred knelt beside her and hugged her, he was so terrified.

“ Are you okay?” He asked and Vanessa nodded her head. She stared at him as he touched her face to make sure she wasn’t hurt. Tears Dropped from her eyes and the rain poured heavily on them. “ Take Mara to the car” Alfred Commanded his Assistant. He took Mara away from Vanessa and ran back inside the car. Alfred helped Vanessa up, her legs were shaking as she stood on her feet.
