Two angry wives

Several days passed...

A man entered a large room with golden-white hues and luxurious furniture, dominated by white and golden-yellow colors. He stopped near the table, facing the woman sipping tea.

"Robbie, what have you got?" the woman asked.

"This time I bring important information, Ma'am," the man replied, handing over a document. "Your husband transferred a huge amount of funds to his trustee's account, Tommy. And from Tommy, the money was transferred to several accounts until it reached one named Maelie Luisa Romanov," he continued as he watched the woman open the document.

The woman read through the papers in the document one by one, her beautiful face serious as if she had found something shocking.

"For the past three years, your husband has rarely come to the company or the mining site... He's seldom seen working... And during this time, Tommy has always been doing his tasks, like his right hand. And some people who happen to know me saw him shopping with a woman at a store. They saw him with her not just once, but so often... And..." Robbie paused for the others to continue his explanation.

"What?" the woman asked.

"One of them confessed to attending a wedding, and it was your husband's wedding with that woman... They got married quietly in a church, without any celebration," Robbie explained.

The woman gripped the papers tightly in her hands, her gray eyes glaring in every direction as if containing anger.

'Erland, How could you do this? Do you want to run away from me? Do you want to find happiness with another woman while I can't find happiness with another man because your family has trapped me in this unhappy marriage?'

Robbie looked at the woman anxiously. "Mrs. Gerald..."

"Find more information about him, about that woman!" the woman exclaimed, her gaze sharp on Robbie. "I want you to give me information about them as soon as possible!"

"Okay, ma'am." Robbie bowed his head.

"Now go!"

Robbie bowed his head once again then left the room.

The woman threw the papers onto the table and looked through the document again, finding some photos showing Erland and Maelie together at a store and some other places like a park and a cafe.

"No... I can't let this continue... He can't leave me for that woman... It's humiliation to me!" she said angrily, then tore up the photos and threw them on the floor. "You fucking Jerk! I'll make you regret it, I'll make you suffer!"

She picked up her phone from the table, then stood up and tried to call Erland.

"Hello, Tiffany?"

"I'm not okay," the woman, who turned out to be Tiffany, said.

"What happened? Are you sick?"

"Yes, I think..." Tiffany stared straight ahead, looking at the view outside the mansion, which was a small garden, but her mind fantasized about her husband being with another woman. "I want you to come home."

"Um... I don't think I can right now," Erland said, sounding nervous. "I'm at the mining site. Many facilities need to be updated before they malfunction and endanger the workers," he continued, sounding concerned.

"Don't you have Tommy who can help you with that?"

"Tommy can't help me right now because he has family issues. Maybe I'll be back in two days."

Tiffany sighed heavily. "Now I'm sick, and you say you can come back in two days. Why don't you care about me?" she asked angrily.

"Tiffany..."

"Even now you call me by my name, not by a special word like two years ago!" Tiffany couldn't contain her frustration and heartache, her eyes were already teary, imagining what Erland was doing sacramentally. "What are you doing there besides working? Are you going to work even at night? Why can't you use that nighttime to visit me for a while?" She wondered, her trembling body holding back anger.

"Oh... Tiffany, I didn't mean..."

"Never mind, maybe you're having fun with another woman there!" Tiffany exclaimed, then hung up the phone and threw it away. She cried bitterly, then turned to the wall where there was a photo of her wedding with Erland.

She immediately took it and threw it to the floor. The sound of the big frame hitting the floor was so loud, causing a commotion, and in an instant, shattered glass scattered on the floor.

"I hate you, you fucking liar!" she cried out in tears, sitting down on the floor while staring at the photo under the broken glass.

...

Sacramento, California, 9:00 AM

Inside his car parked in front of a black gate, Erland looked at his phone, unable to stop thinking about Tiffany, who had suspected that he was having fun with another woman, leading him to wonder if his wife knew about his affair.

"Go and meet her," Maelie said, sitting next to Erland. "She needs you more than I do," she continued, turning her face away, and looking at the scenery from the window.

"She's fine," Erland replied.

"Whether she's fine or not, you still have to see her because she deserves you more than I do!"

"But I choose to be with you!" Erland asserted, putting his phone in his black jacket pocket. "I'll go tomorrow; now we have to go to our new home." He immediately drove off as the gate opened.

Maelie chose to remain silent, her eyes shifting to the luxurious mansion in front of her, so big it could be called a mansion.

"You're really rich... How could you let me suffer financially all this time while you have a lot of money? You're stingy, and you don't love me!" she expressed angrily.

"As I said, I didn't show my wealth because I want you to love me for who I am," Erland replied.

"That's just your excuse!"

"If that's just my excuse, then I wouldn't have bought this house for you, I wouldn't have worked hard to keep you... if I didn't truly love you, I would prefer to leave... Leave you alone... I lied because of love, and now what I'm doing is also because of love," Erland explained, then stopped his car right next to the white car. He glanced at Maelie, who remained silent as if unwilling to get out. "Come on..."

"I don't need this," Maelie said without looking. "I never dreamed of being a mistress."

"Sorry..."

"You make me the same level as those wicked women..."

"I never meant that... being a mistress doesn't mean you're wicked... This happened because of my mistake because I deceived you," Erland said pleadingly, then reached for Maelie's hand. "Understand... I'll fix this as soon as possible... You won't always be my mistress, because one day you'll be the wife I acknowledge, and everyone will know it... Everyone..."

"I don't want to hear your lies!" Maelie pulled her hand away and quickly opened the door.

Erland sighed, watching Maelie get out without paying attention to him. He could only resign himself to the fact that his wife would not be sweet to him anymore.

'I hope this is just temporary, I miss her beautiful smile,' he thought sadly.
