Lena's POV
"I said, what the hell did you find?" Dominic growled angrily. I gulped a lump down my throat, my heart skipped a beat in fear. How did Dominic find out about my snooping? Had I accidentally left something behind? I muttered a short prayer as I wondered what Dominic would do to me.
Surprisingly he took a few steps backward away from me. He muttered a cuss under his breath, his hands were curled into a fist and he swung them towards my direction. I shut my eyes close waiting for his fists to land on my face but to my uttermost surprise, his fists land on the wall causing it to make a loud thud noise.
I snapped my eyes open to gaze at Dominic with a look of concern plastered on my face. He was hurting yet for some reason, he remained still. He fought back the pain and stared at me with the deadliest eyes ever.
"This is a fucking warning to you." He said through gritted teeth. He took a few steps closer to me, his hot breath tingled on my bare skin. "Stay away from my things and mind your fucking business or else you will regret ever snooping into my things." He said.
Without waiting for my response, Dominic turned around and walked away. He opened the door to my room and slammed it loudly in my face. I slumped to the floor in defeat, my entire body fidgeted in fear. That was intense, too intense.
I spent the entire night on the floor, thinking too much about Dominic. He was hurting yet he was so used to holding back his pain. All he needed to do was let it out.
The next morning, Dominic remained the only thing on my mind. I could not ignore the feeling of unease that settled in the tip of my stomach. Truly, someone's experience was what would sharpen their future. Dominic was a big example. His past was a mystery and that aside, I could not help but wonder if I was in danger.
Dominic seemed so furious about the fact that I had involved myself with his personal business which only meant one thing, his personal business was not something to mess with.
I stepped out of the shower with water dripping from my body, my towel was firmly wrapped around my waist. I gazed at the standing mirror in front of me, as I shut my eyes close, I recalled Dominic's fist colliding with the hard wall.
I sighed heavily and shuddered at the thought. I proceeded to change into new clothes. After that, I went ahead to grab a book from my pillow. Ever since I became Dominic's captive wife, I have spent my entire time entertaining myself with books since Dominic had a huge library on the second floor, that was the one place I had free access to.
As I picked the book from my pillow, I noticed a small folded piece of paper fall from it. I furrowed my brows in confusion. I clearly remembered not having the piece of paper in the book last night. How then had it gotten there? Who put it there?
I reluctantly picked up the piece of paper from the floor. I slowly unfolded it and read the content out loud. "You should have never carried his child. Now, you die with him." My eyes widened in shock and my heart raced extremely fast as I processed each word slowly.
Was this some kind of prank? Without hesitation, I scurried towards the direction of Dominic's office. I pushed the door open and barged into the large space. Dominic seemed to have been engrossed in a conversation with one of his boys but the moment I stepped inside, everywhere went quiet.
I suddenly realized that out of panic, I had forgotten to knock. I gulped a lump down my throat and bowed my head at him as a form of greeting. "Sorry to barge in." I apologized.
"What do you want?" Dominic snapped at me, eyeing me in utter disdain. I ignored the look on his face, I had bigger worries, it seemed like my life was on the line. I walked towards him and handed him the piece of paper.
At first, his expression was one of confusion as his eyes scanned through the content of the paper. His expression immediately changed into a dark one. His next action took me off guard. He squeezed the piece of paper and tossed it into his drawer.
I scoffed in disbelief. "Are you just going to ignore that? I might be in danger and better still, if you do not care about me. You should at least be concerned about the welfare of your unborn child." I said.
Dominic slammed the desk in front of him. He cleared his throat and said. "I will keep you safe," he promised, his voice low and menacing. "No one will harm you or my cild."
Ever since then, Dominic actually kept to his word, he became even more possessive, his grip on me tightening. He would never let me out of his sight, and even then, he was always on edge, as if waiting for something to happen. Dominic was exhibiting signs of being too overprotective.
Of course that did reassure me a bit but not entirely. I still could not brush off the fact that my life was in total danger.
I felt like a prisoner, but at the same time, I knew Dominic was trying to keep me alive.
One night, I saw Dominic outside. Taking a stroll, I felt the urge to join him. He noticed my presence and surprisingly he did not say a single word.
We stepped outside, the cool night air engulfing us.
And then all of a sudden, gunshot noises echoed loudly in the air, shattering the peace of the night.
I screamed, my heart racing with fear. Everything happened so quick, blood splattered on my dress. It was not my blood for sure.
But whose blood was it?
EMILY POVI was all dressed up immediately and I picked up my dress as I twirled around in front of the mirror admiring how lovely I look.I'm sure this wasn't how I looked like without all the makeups, jewelries and dress. I looked like a sweet dream and I wished to be able to look this way at all times and cost.Waiting for what seemed like an eternity for Aiden, I decided to go out myself. Stepping out of the room as I looked down both directions hoping I would find a single soul to lead me to the ball room.Seeing noone I had to breath in deeply before walking down towards where I could hear noises from. And then I saw Lucas walk out of the room, he stopped abruptly immediately he saw me and I swallowed in. “What the hell are you doing here? How did you get in here? How let you in? And why are you dressed up like the.." he stopped, noticing I haven't answered a single bit of his question. “And who gave you the rights to ask me all thryokevyou deserve to hear a single word
LENA POV“So wait. You're done and you forgot to prepare mine?" Claire asked, looking at the chef with an angry expression on his face. She felt like choking him to death. Ste might be look and act tough, but she was always a goner for food.“ You know I would never do something like that, you need to know that." He said, handing over her trsy to her.I couldn't help but laugh at her actions, they snapped tiger hands at her like I had dib or committed the fearsome deed. The laughter dried up faster than it had quickly arise, I looked around trying to understand what was wrong. That wasn't a bad statement, soon Claire started laughing hysterically.“You are quite a very lucky woman, but you do not laugh when I'm talking or you are laughing at me. It's that simple, stay out of my way and I would do the same to you.” She said, picking up the tray as shs walked away with disgust in her eyes." Is she fine? What happened to her? I didn't say anything that would trigger her annoyance or d
Lena POV: I couldn't do that, the voice wasn't even sounding familiar to me. And I couldn't even try coming out.“Lena out with it. It's me." I ignored and I heard a loud thug in the door, sending it flying across the room as it crashed into the mirror startling me again. “Now. Out. We don't want Domino getting to us because I take you away. That would prolong the problem,so step out woman.” "Gront, get out now!" Domino said, he sounded calm. More calm than usual, heightening my curiosity as I sought for where to peep. “Why? Why do you want to ruin our fun?" The man called, Gront said. His voice was filled with mischievous contrasting with that of Domino's calm voice. I finally found a peep hole, and I looked up with mouth still closed with my hands. Gront looked like a Mafia, but he wasn't wearing a mask. Which means he wasn't just a little assassin, but someone of high ranking and power. “You really think I would keep her here? I know this would be the first place you would c
LENA POV:Oh fuck no. Blood. I felt nauseous immediately, knowing I might fell faint soon. I hated the sight of blood down to my core, it made me feel and look sick.Looking up with my brows knotted in worry, I wanted to be sure he wasn't shot. But who was? The floor was covered with crimson red substance, and I could swear it was blood. Nothing could sway me from that. But after taking a glance, he looked perfectly normal save the tussled hair on his head that added to the dangerous expression on his face right now.“What's happening? Who is shooting and why?" I asked, trying to look beyond his tall frame, but he covered me in a bid to avoid me seeing the scene. If he can try to cover me, then it must be that bad to get such response from him . And I would rather soothe my. curiosity, than getting traumatized. So I shut her eyes immediately and tightly. Without a single word, he carried me over his shoulders as he slammed the door shut and bolted it.“You would have to listen

Lena's POV I felt like a bird in a gilded cage. I was surrounded by luxury yet I felt trapped like a prisoner. Not to mention, Dominic's possessiveness was very overwhelming, his presence reminded me of my fate. I was not his wife, I just happened to be his prisoner under the guise of a wife. Each day passed and all I woke up to was the sound of silence. The mansion was huge, many times the size of my apartment, all the luxuriousness, I was surrounded by beauty yet I had no freedom of my own. Dominic had tight security around me. I had no one to talk to, I was banned from leaving the mansion. All I did was wake up, eat, obey Dominic's commands and sleep. I was not even allowed to see my own sister, Emma. Although Dominic would make sure that a guard allowed me to video call her every night before I fall asleep but that was it.I was grateful that at least my suffering was not in vain. Emma looked like she was doing a lot more better. I could tell that she was getting the necessary
Lena's POVI felt sweat drip from my forehead regardless of the coolness from the Air conditioners in Dr Smith's office. My heart raced extremely fast, I felt Dominic Knight's eyes pierce deeply into my soul. I gulped a lump down my throat as his next words left me in anxiety. "Dr, are you sure about this?" I could sense uncertainty laced in his tone.I fiddled with my palms and tried my possible best to avoid eye contact with Dominic. I had not even processed the fact that destiny had played a funny trick on me by making Dominic be the stranger i had sex with. Of all people, of all men, it just had to be him.Dr Smith nodded her head slowly and responded in a very serious tone. "Yes Mr Knight. I just conducted a few tests to examine her body and i noticed that there was already an embryo growing in her." Dr Smith said.Fuck, I was screwed. My countenance fell as I imagined what would happen to me next. It was not like everything was entirely my fault. It was not like I had forced mys
Lena's POV My heart began to race extremely fast, I looked sideways noticing that the stranger from last night was nowhere to be found. I took it as an opportunity to leave immediately in order to avoid future embarrassment.I hastily slipped out of the stranger's bed, I changed into my clothes and tiptoed towards the door entrance, not after grabbing my purse. I pushed the door open, the creaking noise made me mutter a cuss under my breath. The last thing I wanted to do was attract the attention of anyone. As i stepped into the brightly lit hallways, I realized that this happened to be the same hotel that the masquerade ball had taken place. As i made my way past the receptionist desk, some cleaners were cleaning up the mess from last night. My phone suddenly beeped loudly, jolting me out of my thoughts and back to reality.I fetched my phone out of my purse and gazed at the screen. My eyes widened in shock at how many times Emily had tried to reach me last night, twenty times! She
LENA'S POV My heart raced extremely fast in fear as my eyes carefully read the content of the document in front of me. I wiped the drop of sweat on my forehead with the back of my palm. My pen hovering over the contract that would change my life forever, positively. My financial freedom and the life of my sister all depended on this contract. One surrogacy, one child and five million dollars, the price of my freedom. Most importantly, I was concerned about my sister's life. Emma was suffering from a debilitating disease. Her hospital treatment costed a fortune, I could barely afford to even pay for the hospital bed talkless of her treatment. That was how I crossed paths with Dominic Knight, one thing led to another and we arrived at a contract. The terms were clear, I would carry his child and in return, a life changing sum of amount, five million dollars. The advantageos part was that I would never meet the father.I had to seize the opportunity, hoping that there would be no reg
