Chapter 14: Fake

Hendrix frowned at her then immediately looked away as if she was part of the wall and just walked past her.

Her heart was pounding so hard it almost jumped out of its ribcage. She couldn't move as her eyes were wide as saucers and her lips agape.

‘Why is he here already?!’ her mind screamed.

She heard the door behind her creaked open and Dinah's voice resounded, “Margaux? Why are you standing there?” she queried.

She inhaled loudly. Fortunately, she was wearing sunglasses or else it would be impossible not to recognize her since they were too near with each other and she even bumped against him!

“Are you okay?” Dinah's brows furrowed as she stopped in front of her.

She shook her head.

She was not okay! Her heart was in turmoil and all her body organs were malfunctioning. How could she be okay?!

And she wouldn't dare hide it from Dinah because it would be just futile since she knew her well.

“What happened?” Dinah frowned, studying her expression.

“Insaw him,” she mumbled.
