Chapter 153: Wall

“Margaux already knew what?” Hendrix immediately asked as he tried to free his arms from the soldiers' tight grips. “Tell me!” he demanded impatiently.

“Shut up and walk inside!” one of them kicked him on the shin hard enough that caused him to fall on his knees with a loud grunt.

‘Fvck!’ he cursed mentally.

He had no intention to follow them. He was not one of them to comply nor a scaredy cat to obey. However, those soldiers were really ruthless, because before he could even recover from the pain, they already pulled him up harshly then dragged him again inside the main door like he was just a useless thing.

Despite his protest and struggles, his strength was no match with two people who were twice bigger than him.

He felt humiliated. As it was the very first time someone treated him like that. He was used to people lowering their heads when they saw him. They even avoided him for they were scared to offend him with their existence.

Gritting his teeth, he never felt so useless.
