Chapter 59: Sick

“Excuse me,” Margaux said before she pushed Hendrix to the side and quickly stepped out of the elevator.

Hendrix was left dumbfounded and remained frozen on the spot until the door was shut behind him. The coldness from her words felt like a bucket of ice splashed on top of his head.

His heart was bothered.

‘What is this?’ he asked himself inwardly.

It was the first time that he became so confused and didn't know what to do.

Like a zombie, he walked back to his mother's room.

“You're just right on time. Come here and eat with us, son,” said Wilma.

But the smile on her face instantly vanished when Hendix didn't even glance at their direction and just slumped his body on the sofa, completely ignoring her.

Leaning his back on the sofa, Hendrix shut his eyes and placed his arm on top of his eyes.

His heart couldn't calm down. And he can't stop thinking about the woman whom he had been ignoring for three years.
