Elena POV

I had just finished putting the twins to sleep. Both of them looked like tiny angels in their little beds, letting out soft breaths and their little fists curled. My chest melted just staring at them.

Suddenly, Alex wrapped his hands around me from behind, laying soft kisses on my shoulder.

“ They're beautiful aren't they?” I asked.

He only let out a soft hum as his lips brushed my nape making me shiver.

“ They look just like you,” he said.

I chuckled, “ how do you know that, they're just a month old”

“ Because I can see the future”

I rolled my eyes, tiredly chuckling.

The window cracked open, the night breeze slipping in, making the curtains sway gently. The faint light of the moon spread across the room, soft and peaceful.

“Elena,” Alex suddenly called softly.

I turned to face him, his eyes already fixed on me. He looked tired, still pale from everything he’d been through, but his gaze was steady.

“I’m sorry,” he whispered.

My throat tightened. “For what?”

“For earlier,” h

Elena POV The morning sunlight streamed gently through the curtains, casting golden rays across the room. I stirred awake to the warmth of Alex’s arms still wrapped protectively around me. His steady heartbeat echoed against my ear, a rhythm that calmed me more than anything else ever could. For a moment, I simply lay there, smiling, unwilling to move. The memories of last night flooding my head. The way he held me, the way his lips claimed mine when he took me. Everything yesterday night was so…. A knock sounded at the door. Before I could even answer, Nana’s unmistakable voice carried through. “Rise and shine, lovebirds. We have work to do!” Argh, how does this woman still have enough energy this early in the morning after yesterday! I frowned, exchanging a sleepy glance with Alex. “Work?” I asked. The door swung open before I got a reply, and Nana waltzed in, her face beaming with so much joy that I knew something was up. “I hope you two had your fun, because now it’s tim

Elena povI didn’t even wait for the doctor to finish talking. My legs moved before my brain could catch up, dragging me inside Alex’s room like the world was ending.“Alex!” I shouted, rushing to his bed, his still body almost swallowing me whole. “You can’t die, do you hear me? My kids won't grow up without a father, okay? I won’t forgive you, never! Not for this!”My voice broke into pieces but I didn’t stop. I gripped his shirt, shaking him weakly. “Stand up, Alex. Wake up. You don’t get to leave me with guilt and regrets, you don’t get to abandon me like everyone else. If you die—” my breath hitched, tears streaming like waterfalls, “—if you die I’ll never forgive you or myself. So please… please open your eyes.”My knees hit the floor as I buried my face into the blanket, my chest heaving painfully. I felt like I was going to rip apart just watching him lay there lifeless.“Alex…” I whispered brokenly, my hand clutching his. “I love you, okay? There, I said it. I love you, Alex

  • The Billionaire's Accidental Bride    Chapter 121 – Please, Don’t Leave Me

Elena povIt had been a whole week since the warehouse incident. Seven days of cold hospital walls, constant beeping monitors, and restless nights. Seven days of staring at the incubator where my babies slept, too small, too fragile, yet breathing and alive. Nick had been with me every single day, helping me feed them, change them, teaching me little things I didn’t even know about babies. But Alex… Alex hadn’t opened his eyes once. Not even for me.I tried to avoid going near his room. Part of me was scared, scared of what I’d see, scared of facing the truth, scared of the guilt that never let me sleep. It was easier to busy myself with the twins, to pretend that maybe, just maybe, he would wake up on his own.But yet no sign of him waking up.I was sitting on the bed, carefully holding one of the babies in my arms, rocking gently while trying to get her to drink from the tiny bottle the nurse had prepared. The room was quiet, the soft sound of sucking the only noise until a sudde

Elena POV The hospital light shot into my eyes like a sharp needle piercing my skin as I was being dragged into the hospital on a stretcher.Everything was moving so fast. Nurses were shouting, doors banging open. But all I could really feel was pain. My guts twisted like something was pulling at it.I couldn’t even scream anymore, I didn't have the strength to. My throat was already sore, only broken sobs came out of me. My body curled itself in half, begging for relief.“Stay with us, ma’am. Stay awake, don’t close your eyes yet,” someone was saying, but their voice sounded far away, muffled like they were speaking under water.“Alex” I said but it only came out as a whisper.… Where was Alex? Was he okay? I tried to move my head to see him but another wave of pain crashed into me and I lost focus.Hours passed or maybe minutes, I couldn’t tell. All I knew was I laid on the bed, my leg spread open and the doctors urged me to push. I was screaming, clenching the sheets, sweat sticki

Alex POV Standing in front of Damien and his men, his lips curved into a slow, deliberate smile. Elena was sited, unchained by his side.“Alexander Donovan,” he said, savoring the sound of my name like it was poison on his tongue. “You came… just as I knew you would.”“I didn’t come here for your games,” I growled, not wanting to waste anymore time.“I came for her. Here's your money as bargained hand her over, and maybe we can…”He raised a hand to silence me, his smirk deepening. “ Collect the bag from our guest.” One of the goons came and took the bag I had tossed earlier “ Now where were we?”He paused, then continued, “ Oh yes.” He placed his hands on his chin as if thinking, his smile growing wider “Kneel then I'll let her go” My eyes flicked to the shadows. His goons were everywhere big, ugly shapes with eyes like vultures.“ You must be joking,” I said between my gritted teeth. He let out a loud mocking laughter “You’re not the Alpha here,” Damien went on, his voice tighteni
