He looked up from his phone and caught me staring at him, I immediately averted my gaze to the glass behind him.
"You like what you see?" He asked, smirking.
The smirk for some reason annoyed me, And I wished I could wish it off his face.
"Yeah, The glass behind you steals all the spotlight, I indeed like what I see" I replied sarcastically
I remembered the scene with his girlfriend and it still nagged at me and I wanted to ask him about it, but I disregarded the thought immediately after it occur to me
"Would you like me to get you a table and chair installed here or would you rather be a couch potato?"
"I'll take the couch Anytime, any day. It's so comfortable. How much did you get? You know what, Don't Tell me, I don't want to feel guilty for sitting on it"
He chuckled charmingly as I shrugged.
The doors beeped again and a man, Presumably an employee, came in with files and smiled up at me before moving forward to Lucio
"Hey there Lucio" He waved enthusiastically to Lucio "I need your signature for all these actions about to be carried out here"
He seemed preppy and one could easily describe him as a fluffy ball of sunshine. His fluffy haircut made him look very cute and I doubted if he was an attorney.
"You could have sent one of the Junior Attorneys, Why'd you have to bring it yourself?" He asked the look of sheer annoyance returning to his face, But unlike the one he gave Valerie, This one seemed free of tension and dislike, It seemed almost playful.
"Well, I brought them over because I wanted to see you, but mostly because I wanted to see your girlfriend, I heard the Non-Legal staff gossip about how you brought your girlfriend to work, They said you were the Tsundere type of guy and I just wanted to check things out for myself," He said grinning at Lucio
"David, Lisa's not my girlfriend"
David stared straight into my eyes, that enormous smile not wavering. There was something in the disk of his smile - a kind of mischievous exuberance, more honest and more honest and more exciting than happiness- that pierced me to the heart. It was the work of a second, the eye contact between us. It was just long enough for me to decide to trust him- the fluffy man with a big smile.
I smiled back at him, happy that I might have made a new friend from the law firm.
"I'm his friend, We'll be doing business together for a while, So, You'll see me here very often" I replied, maintaining the smile on my face.
"Pleased to meet you, Lisa, I'm David and I'm Lucio's Best friend" He introduced himself in his Italian-accented English as we shook hands.
"For the hundredth time, We're not friends David," Lucio said in an attempt to offend his "best friend"
"Yeah, Keep telling lies to yourself, If they make you feel better" He smirked and moved towards Lucio's table to drop the files.
"I'll see you later," He said to the Executive Director "Lisa, Let's grab lunch together if you're free"
He left the room and it was once again Lucio and I left together.
"Don't let him fool you, He's gay" He commented for no good reason "He's into guys"
"Well, I didn't say I was getting ideas, He just seems cool" I replied
"We're going out for lunch together, So you'll have to reschedule with him" The pretended annoyance on his face before has faded to a frown.
His phone rang out and I immediately stood up, I had heard the ringtone and recognized it from somewhere. All my instincts revolved around the idea of recalling the song.
After his phone call, I moved toward him and he freaked out "What do you want?"
"You're jumping like I'm a scary monster, What's your deal? I just wanted to ask about your ringtone. What song is that? " I asked him.
"It's Drink before the war" He answered
At that moment, I realized how close our faces were. One more move and our lips would touch. He stood up from his seat and walked towards the door. I thought he was leaving but just then, I heard him walk up behind me. I begin to turn around and I see his face.
He said, “Don't turn, this is about you.”
My heart began to pound. I stood there, feeling a desire run from my heart, to my chest, and down toward my inner thighs.
His finger touched my neck, and the hair as it was moved away nearly gave me the chills. His hands went from the sides of my head and down to my neck, out to my shoulders, and down to my hands.
He grabbed my hands gently yet firmly, put them in front of me, and paused. I felt safe, he spoke no words. My heart was about to beat out of my chest and I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
He kissed my shoulder, and ran his lips on my skin towards my ear, but didn't quite make it that far. I tilted my head and after his deep breath out he bit me gently. It didn't hurt, it only made me want more.
He turned me around, and we were facing each other. He stared into my eyes and smiled. His two hands grabbed my left hand and he placed my open palm on his heart, and he held it there. His eyes exuded protection, security, safety, patience, and respect.
I smiled and he let go of my hands, with one hand he ran his fingers through my hair and gently guided my face closer to his, eventually leaning me in to rest my head on his chest. His other arm wraps around me, I hoped he never let go.
While at that moment against his chest, I could only think about what I could do to make his heart pound.
"Don't talk about this to anybody" He whispered to me.
After the evaluation was done at the law firm, Lucio Delevonte knew that his enemies were angry since they had failed in their assassination attempts during the first evaluation. Another evaluation was going to be carried out in the firm and they will come together as usual to form another plan to take him out of the picture but first they needed to take the one who keeps protecting out of the picture and that was Lisa. His enemies meticulously plan the attack and this time Lisa is taken unaware as the fire breaks in the firm, she was trapped as everyone else had gone out of the building but she was working on some document and so she stayed back. As the fire spreads quicker than expected Lisa couldn't get to the stairs nor could she shift into something else. The camera was on so she couldn't expose Lucio. Deep down she already knew that it was his enemies who were doing this yet she didn't think so as she was running around trying to get away. However, just when she was giving
When David opened the door, he was surprised to see Valeria standing at his doorstep. She was crying and looking at him pitifully and just engulfed her without having to ask her what was going on with her."Are you alright? Of course you are not alright" holding her he leads her into his apartment, helping her recline back to the couch. He couldn't tell what was wrong with her and didn't know if he should ask her. All he wanted was for her to be alright and for him to get back with her. David loves her ever since she was mad at him and wanted nothing more to do with him, he stayed back home while trying to find out other things he can do in order for him to earn her forgiveness."I slept with Jason" She stated that Lisa and Lucio must have kept that away from David. "He is your husband" He was hurt but it was pointless. They were married so it was only right that she fulfills her duty."No you don't understand I was mad at you for what you did and so I wanted to get back at you so th
Jason walked around his house, the love of his life had departed and wasn't coming back to him, and as if that wasn't enough, she was divorcing him. That was the text message her lawyer sent to him, he has tried to talk to her but has failed so many times. Valeria was not going to talk to him after discovering that she slept with Sophia. That was the last person she imagined he would ever cheat on her with. Not that she thought he would ever cheat on , she thought that with the way he professed his love for her she was the only one that he was in love with. As memories of Valeria shot through his head, he felt like dying, he couldn't fathom how it got to this point, they were happily planning their move, she was finally starting to feel something for him after all these years. Anger simmered through him as he stared at the reflection of himself through the big mirror. His woman was gone, the house just didn't feel empty, it was empty and the only thing he could do was walk around whi
As Sophia stepped out of her , she walked toward the black tinted Suv and knocked on the window which only made Lucio step out of his car, as she locked eyes with him, shs shot a smile at him but he frowned at her, the nerve at this woman to smile at him as if the were friends. He thought“Lucio” She whispered, staring into his eyes hoping that he would look at her with the same emotions that he used to but lucio could never, he wasn't in love and doesn't want to have anything to do with her.“Have you told her?” She nodded her head, the smile not parting from her face. “Valeria knows that i slept with Jason, she must be on her way to confront him”He clenched his jaw since Jason was playing a dirty game he decided to give him a taste of his medicine. When he found out that his cousin slept with Sophia, he realized that Jason might not be an exception Sophia was always fond of him when they were in a relationship. He had to confront Sophia, at first she tried to deny it all but when
The past few days have been hectic at the company as she had a lot to do so that she will be able to move her company to LA. Jason was bringing over his lawyers to the house for her to meet with them and she had come to work trying to sort out so many things.Ever since the visit by her mother with Lisa and Lucio, Jason was hellbent on proving to her that he was the right one and that is what made her stay with him. Jason was a good man if he wasn't consumed by jealousy and wasn't suspicious of her having other things to do with other men even when she wasn't doing anything. Picking up a document a lot of emotions ran through her eyes as she stared at Lucio's name on the papers, she was going to miss having anything to do with him but this was the only way she can forget David and not think about him. He hurt her and she hurt him back, they were never meant to be. She thought as she lowered down the document when a soft knock came on the door. Lifting up her eyes to the door, Sophia
Sophia William was around in her office, she was pained by everything that was happening in her life. On the one hand, she was about to lose the man that she was in love with, and on the other hand she was mad at Valeria Carnegie for making Lucio hate her even more, now that he doesn't want to see her shadow or want to have anything to do with him. Anger seeped through him as she stared at her reflection in the mirror, she ran her Index finger up her jawline when Ingrid Williams entered the room."Breakfast is ready honey""I already told the lady that I am not hungry""Your father is very worried about you, you should have something to eat""No Mother you don't have to be worried about me, I am not just hungry that's all""You didn't have dinner with us and now breakfast tell me what's going on because I am very worried about you" Her mother was not about to give up as she plopped down on her bed while staring at her this whole time as Sophia sobs. The pain in her heart was excrucia
