“What?”

“You heard me,” Gianna said to the housekeeper, “I want you to burn the flowers.”

The new housekeeper wasn’t sure why her boss was so mad, it was a recurring thing these past few days. Gianna stormed off and into her room, where she dropped her purse on the floor. The night was quiet, too quiet, not after her whole world had been torn apart.

So she let out a scream. A screeching sound that almost rendered the poor housekeeper deaf for days. She hurled her purse across the wall, nicking the innocent painting of a flower vase above the headboard by the side. Then she panted heavily, she needed that.
