Oh sheep! This was happening. I was standing before the father of the woman who wanted to ruin my life. Never had I thought I would run into him, but he was standing before me, right in the flesh.

My eyes took a quick sweep of him, surprised by how he looked. He was nothing like I had pictured when he came to mind. I had always imagined a tall, broody, mafia-don-looking man; he was the opposite. He was a few inches shorter than me—and I was already short—with a bald head that the light bounced off.
