Olivia's Pov

Storming out of the elevator ignoring the confused look from the couples inside. I released the breath I had been holding.

He is too full of himself, who the hell does he think he is? That jerk hasn't changed a bit. I can't believe he still calls me straight figure, I guess age is not maturity I thought wishing I had punched him in the face.

I stopped abruptly thinking of how I am going to return this dress before the owner sees it on me. I will have to avoid everyone until I get rid of this dress.

"Olivia?" I heard a voice behind me and I immediately froze in fear. I turned around to see my colleague Beth.

"Hey! Beth," I said smiling awkwardly at her as I scratched the back of my head.

"Damn girl! You look hot, where did you get that dress?" She asked eyeing me suspiciously, I started to rack my brain for a good excuse, I don't want the whole hotel employees in my business, She will talk about me to everyone for a whole week.

"Uh, You see... A customer asked me to model her dress for her " I stuttered out and mentally face-palmed myself for the dumb excuse.

"What?" She asked with a confused expression on her face and I gulped looking around at the people passing by not paying us any attention.

"Yeah, isn't it beautiful?" I replied twirling around as I let out a fake giggle to sound more convincing and carefree.

"I need to go return it, She has a date this evening" I added turning around to leave.

"Why then did you wear it in the hallway for people to see?" She asked with a frown on her face, She didn't buy my explanation. I stood frozen not knowing what to say.

"Noah is coming," I said pointing behind her and she froze with a shocked look on her face, she mouthed bye to me without turning back and practically ran for her dear life.

Those two have never gotten along and she was scared of him, He had threatened her countless times for spreading rumors and fighting in the hotel, All she does now is to avoid him like a plague.

I looked at her walk away almost falling over as I held back laughter.

I hid my face with my long black hair while walking as fast as I could towards the employee's room, I silently pray I don't come in contact with anyone else, I am not in the mood for a conversation, Mum will have a heart attack if she knew what I had done.

I entered and thankfully the room was empty. I opened my locker and brought out the clothes I wore this morning, blue jeans, a pink tank top, and a pair of white sneakers, I was not done for the day but the rooms can survive a day without cleaning, the last thing I want is to run into Nathan again in my cleaning wear.

I slowly pulled the silver dress over my head not wanting to damage or wrinkle it, I am left in my white lingerie set, I ignored the tiny hole in my cotton bra and quickly put on my clothes and my pair of worn-out sneakers.

Just as I was about to close my locker, The door opened and Noah walked in, I gulped hard wondering what he was doing here and if it had anything to do with our conversation this morning or if a stolen dress has been announced.

At least I was done dressing.

"Noah this morning I did not..." I started saying but kept quiet when he shook his head.

"You are done for the day?" He asked. I was a little scared I held my breath.

"Yes, Noah" I lied not wanting to add to my piles of problems. I wanted him to leave so I can come up with a plan on how to return the dress without being seen, I felt like a cheap thief.

"Thank goodness, I want to ask you for a favor," He said studying the room.

"Okay, what is it?" I asked. I breathe a sigh of relief. At least I haven't been caught and I will not be fired anytime soon.

"I remember you telling me once that you knew how to cook," He said and I was not expecting that.

    "Yes," I replied unsurely.

"Okay good, I have been worried, I honestly don't know what to do. Our chef Rhoda is sick and the other chef just gave birth yesterday, The owner of this hotel will be visiting in an hour and I want you to prepare lunch for her, Can you do that for me, Olivia?" He said it too fast I could hardly comprehend it.

I looked at him with a confused look on my face. He gave me a pleading look and I instantly knew he was desperate.

"I am done for the day and I need to get going," I said shifting from one foot to the other.

I still have to run a shift at the cafe and Caleb the owner will be furious if I don't show up.

"I will pay you for this impromptu job Olivia," He said rolling his eyes, He probably thinks I will say yes if money is involved and he is very right if that's what he thinks I thought smiling.

This is the first time he has asked me to do anything and he is a good boss. He has helped me countless times, it won't hurt to help him this one time I thought.

"Okay, I will cook" I replied smiling at him.

"Thank you very much Olivia" He replied almost hugging me.

"Let me finish up, I will go to the kitchen when I'm done" I replied

"What do you want me to prepare?" I added looking up at him.

"Any mouthwatering meal," He said smiling and adjusting his tie.

He left and I brought out my phone and called my best friend Amanda. I explained everything to her. She also works at the cafe and promised to cover for me in my absence.

I kept my phone back and picked up the dress and heels praying the owner hasn't returned.

I practically ran back to the elevator walked fast to the room I cleaned earlier and knocked on the door twice just to be sure that no one is inside.

After the confirmation, I entered the room and jumped in happiness when I find the room empty and untouched, I quickly ran to the bed and place the silver dress back the way I met it and the heels inside the box.

I touched the dress one last time. This is the most expensive outfit I had ever put on and I was reluctant to let it go but it was not mine.

I noticed the wristwatch was gone but I did not think much of it, If it was anything serious the hotel wouldn't be this peaceful.

Snapping out of my thoughts, I walked into the bathroom and picked up my cleaning outfits, and wheeled my cart of tools out.

"What are you doing here?" I heard a voice and a shiver ran down my spine as I froze looking up at the person.

Nathan It's been 6 months since Olivia left and I have been miserable. At first, I thought she was missing again until Leah told me the truth about her wanting to leave and pursue her dreams. How could she do that to me? She didn't care about my feelings. She took Claire with her and I'm afraid they might not come back again. "Sir... This is the document for the last ..." My secretary said trying her best to sound professional. "Just leave it there," I said pointing at one corner of my desk and adjusting my tie. "Okay Sir," My secretary said reluctantly, she still had something to say but I was not ready to talk to anyone right now. She turned and walked out of my office, her heel clicking loudly on the tiled floor. "Hey..." I hear a familiar voice. The door of my office swung open. It's Micheal, I thought rolling my eyes. "Any news?" Michael said walking towards me and sitting on my desk. He was talking about Olivia. "No" I replied not looking his way. He sigh

Nathan was sitting beside me with my hands in his, He has not left my side since I woke up in the hospital and had the uncomfortable conversation with Mr. White, or is it, Dad? I can't still get over the fact that Mr. White was my father. The car stopped in front of the mansion and for a minute I dreaded going into the house not knowing what to face or how to act towards Mr White. For God's sake, my life has turned around within two months and I don't even have a say in it. "Olivia," I heard Nathan say and I snapped my head up to see the car door open and Nathan is standing there with a worried expression on his face. I stepped out forcing a smile at him and failing miserably. He just sighed and took my hand helping me out of the car. The house was quiet as a maid walked by, she greeted Nathan and me giving me a look like she pitied me making me wonder if everyone in the house knew my story. "You haven't sa

The hospital is busy today as doctors and nurses walk past me. My dad entered the men's room and this was the chance I had to have a word with him. I joined him in the rest room and I saw him splashing a reasonable amount of water on his face, He didn't even notice me standing behind me. "Dad... What the fuck did you tell her"? I shouted walking over to him as he turned back to look at me in shock before sadness clouded his face. He had been ignoring me and the su

Olivia I ran after Mr White who punched the wall repeatedly as he walked down the stairs angrily muttering words under his breath. I followed him quietly not knowing what to say or how to comfort a man that just found out that his only child isn't his but his best friend's. He went to his bar and took a bottle of whiskey and a glass cup. He stood for a whole minute looking at the bottle then suddenly smashed the glass cup on the floor. I gasped in fear moving back. He opened the bottle and gulped forcefully. I wondered if he hadn't noticed me or if he was probably ignoring me. He loosened his tie and then headed out the back door towards the garden. He sat down on a bench drinking from the whiskey bottle before screaming and hitting his chest repeatedly. I ran over to him kneeling in front of him and holding his clenched fist in an attempt to calm him. "It's okay Mr White, Everything is going to be fine," I said looking up at him smiling and patting his hand gently. "How could
