She was a 24-year-old fair-skinned woman who had been studying in City X. After she graduated with a degree in business administration, her father told her, “Nancy, I want you to return home and not remain in City X.” Nancy frowned during the phone call with her father. She knew he was a politician in AJ City, and she could not go against his orders. So she arrived at the airport at exactly 2 p.m., where her father’s men were already waiting to escort her home. “Welcome home, Nancy,” her elder adopted brother, Matthew Marlon, said with a smile. Nancy frowned as she walked with him to the car. She sat in the back seat and reflected on the fact that the city was ruled by the powerful President Nolan Alejandro and his family. The city itself was named after the Alejandro family. They had ruled for years, and any opposition party that tried to challenge them was immediately silenced. Nancy watched the passing scenery as Matthew started the engine and drove away from the airport. Her eyes fell on a gigantic billboard displaying the president’s photo. “Hmm…” Nancy hummed. She noticed Matthew smiling at her through the rearview mirror. She ignored his smile and continued wondering why her parents had insisted she return home. When they arrived home, the security men at her father’s mansion pulled open the huge black gate. Nancy watched as Matthew drove his black exotic SUV into the compound and parked. Her parents stood at the front of the mansion. Her mother wore a red gown, and her father stood in a black suit while the maids waited behind them in their blue uniforms. Nancy stepped out of the car and walked up to meet her parents. She wore a red top, black trousers, and black high-heeled shoes. As she approached, her mother welcomed her warmly. “Welcome home, my beautiful angel.” “Good afternoon, Mom and Dad.” Nancy smiled as she hugged her mother. Her father said, “Welcome home, Nancy. It’s good to have you here with us.” “Thanks, Dad.” Nancy replied, stepping forward to hug her mother. The maids added, “Welcome home, Nancy.” “Thank you all,” Nancy said with a smile. Her mother replied, “Let’s all go inside.” “Okay, Mom.” Nancy walked into the living room with her mother. The living room looked unchanged—still painted white with beautiful flower vases placed around it. Nancy walked over to one of the seven black couches. “Home, sweet home,” she whispered as she sat down. She saw her mother standing in the center of the living room, smiling sweetly at her. “Mom, what’s the good news? You look so excited to see me,” Nancy asked, curious about her mother’s bright smile. At 51, Mrs. Olivia was a pure epitome of beauty. Her youthful appearance made her look well under forty. Mrs. Olivia smiled and sat on the couch opposite her. “Why wouldn’t I be excited to see you, Nancy? You’ve changed so much—you look even more beautiful now than when you left the city five years ago.” “Thanks, Mom, but I’m still the same,” Nancy replied, smiling sweetly. She knew her mother was right. In the five years since she left to study abroad, her breasts had grown fuller, her hips had widened, and she had become a sexy, charming young woman. Nancy was aware that people often paused and stared when they passed her, captivated by her appearance. She also knew her mother loved calling her “angel” because of her pointed nose, sparkling blue eyes, and long golden hair—the most striking of her features. “Mom, I need to go upstairs and freshen up. Then I’ll come back down to join you and Dad for dinner,” Nancy said as she stood up. “Okay, my dear.” Mrs. Olivia replied. She could not stop admiring her daughter. She considered telling Nancy about the arranged marriage with the president’s son but decided to wait. Nancy smiled and walked upstairs to her bedroom. She pushed open the door and stepped inside. Her room looked unchanged—still painted pink with beautiful flower vases around it. Nancy went to the window, pulled the curtains open, and looked out. She saw three black cars drive into the mansion and park. Several men in black suits stepped out of the rear car and opened the door of the front vehicle. A tall man wearing a black suit with a red shirt underneath stepped out. His handsome dark gaze met hers. Nancy quickly looked away and closed the curtains. Nancy walked into the bathroom, stripped off her clothes, and took a bath. A few minutes later, she emerged wrapped in a long white towel, sat on her bed, and began applying body lotion. Nancy had missed her family while in City X. Now that she was home—and unlikely to return to City X soon—she decided to search for a new job in AJ City. She opened her bedside drawer, took out her body lotion, and creamed her skin. Then she picked up the television remote and switched it on. Images and videos of the president filled the screen again. Nancy increased the volume and heard the reporter say, “Good evening, citizens of AJ City. Here is the 4 p.m. news. President Nolan Alejandro has just won the recently concluded election, securing over 50 million votes.” Nancy frowned. She disliked the Alejandro family. She switched off the television, knowing they had ruled the city for a long time and blocked any other family from taking power. Her father was also a politician working under the AJ Political Party. Nancy sighed and chose not to dwell on politics. She disliked the luxurious lifestyle her family led. She wanted a simple life with her future husband and children, free from the constant security detail that had followed her every minute since her return. After finishing with the lotion, Nancy stood up and searched for something to wear. She chose a short brown gown from her closet. The dress hugged her body tightly, accentuating her hips and curves. Nancy smiled, walked to her mirror, and used the white towel to dry her long golden hair, before combing it so it cascaded down her back. The following morning in Logan Marlon Residence, Charles stayed with Nancy in her bedroom and did not want to go back home to his family house again. He assisted Nancy in going for her weekly medical checkup, and Senator Logan and his wife didn't complain; they only smiled at Nancy and Charles.Over the weekend, after spending a full week in Nancy's family house, Charles finally spoke to Nancy's parents in the living room. He told them that he would be taking Nancy with him to his family house after registering their marriage the previous day.Senator Logan didn't protest; he was rather happy that Nancy and Charles were together. He blessed their union and said, "I'm glad that my daughter is with you, as it's what I wanted from the very beginning. May the Gods of our land continue to be with you both and bless you with beautiful children.""Amen," Charles and Nancy agreed and finally left the mansion. Mrs. Olivia stood outside the house, emotionally hugging her daughter as she didn't w
Nancy looked up at Charles' face in disbelief and told him, "You are lying to me. I saw photos of you and Arya together.""No, we are not married, and seriously I have sent her away. I only took those photos because of my mother, and Arya had the audacity to publish them with captions like 'My husband and I,' but I'm not her husband, and I never touched her. Believe me."Charles cupped Nancy's face with both palms, and it seemed to Nancy and Charles that they had totally forgotten that Nancy's parents were still in the living room watching them too."I'm sorry," Charles apologized to Nancy again, and he kissed her on the lips, while Senator Logan and his wife gasped in surprise, looking at each other unbelievably.Senator Logan couldn't believe that Nancy was truly pregnant with Charles' child. He hadn't asked about the pregnancy before because he didn't want his only daughter to run away from him again. It made no sense to him that he was caring for orphanage children and other poor f
"Open the gate, I'm a delivery man sent here to deliver this package to Nancy Marlon. Is she inside?" Charles asked the two security men that stood outside the huge black gate and stared at him suspiciously. One of the two security men replied, "Bring the package here, and we will examine it and have it delivered to Lady Nancy.""No, as I'm to deliver it to Nancy directly, just tell her that her Sunday is here to see her," Charles said with a serious look on his face. However, the two stubborn security men refused to move as they insisted on seeing the package first.Charles was angry that the two security men were wasting his time, but he knew they were only doing their jobs. He brought out the food flask and showed the content to the two security men, and they finally allowed him inside after seeing his cold, frightening aura.Charles parked his bike at the frontage of Nancy's parents' mansion, and he was nervous as he stepped down from the bike and walked up to press the doorbell...
Nancy walked into her bedroom and it was neatly arranged and tidy as if she hadn't left the city before. She sighed and walked up to the bed to sit as she was very tired. She thought of telling her family the truth that she had a relationship with a man she was in love with in City X. She knew her parents would be mad at her.Not wanting to spoil their already happy mood upon seeing that she had finally returned to the city, Nancy decided not to tell her parents yet about her pregnancy. After her bath in the bathroom, she went downstairs to have dinner with her parents.Mrs. Olivia Marlon could visibly see through the light nightgown that Nancy wore that Nancy looked pregnant. But she didn't want to ask her daughter about the man her only daughter got involved with in City X.Nancy sat on the dining seat made available for her, and after her dinner with her parents ended, she stood up from the dining seat and bid her parents good night. They kept staring at her, and she finally went ba

“No, Father!” Nancy screamed as her father pulled her bedroom door open and exited her room. She turned to face her mother and begged, “Please, Mom, talk to Dad. I cannot marry that man. I cannot marry Charles.” Mrs. Olivia sighed and walked up to the bed to meet her daughter. She was still holdin
