Christian's POV.

It had been a week since I last talked to Lucy, and it was starting to weigh on me. I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. Nonetheless, I will call her after work today.

I got dressed, ensuring I looked presentable, and left for work

As the day went by, my mind kept drifting towards Lucy.

I couldn't concentrate on my tasks; her absence had left a void in my heart. I never thought something like this would ever happen to me, but here I was. My thoughts being invaded by a girl, a mere girl.

The funniest thing is, I should be angry for what did, but I was not. Instead, I find myself, wanting the spent the rest of my days with her.

Thoughts of our last conversation played on repeat in my mind, making me wonder what had happened between us.

I wrapped up my work and put a few office things together before leaving for home. It's become difficult for me to concerntrate on my work because all I do is to sit and think of her.

The ride back was filled with contemplation.
