Nine: The End & the New Beginning

[Three weeks later.]

I stopped walking the moment I stepped out of the university building to take a giant deep breath.

I had mixed emotions. I just got my grades for this semester. Technically speaking, I have just finished my two-year pre-clinical studies.

The past weeks have been very hectic. I could barely get some sleep because I had to study for my exams. That's why I am more than relieved to see my final grades.

I passed with flying colors! All my hard work has paid off!

Getting into a medical school here in Spain wasn't easy. It has basically taken me three years, since I came here to Barcelona, before I finally got to enroll. They teach in Spanish, so I had to study the language first before I could enroll.

Plus the fact that I had to work as hard as I could to save for tuition fees.

And even when I started attending university, I didn't stop working part-time jobs. My savings weren't enough for me to finish medical school, so I had to keep on working while studying. And
