Seven: Taking the Risk

[Two weeks later.]

I'll pick you up at 6 pm.

That's what James texted me earlier.

I am here at the university gate, waiting for him. Louie was sending him to fetch me.

I would constantly check my surroundings to be sure that no one was following me.

The past two weeks have been crazy. I can't go back to my apartment because the media people were basically camping outside my apartment building. They were even spotted outside my mom's house, so I couldn't go there either. I had to stay with friends to avoid them.

And whenever I go out, I need to wear loose hoodies, a cap, and large-framed glasses to hide. So this must be how celebrities feel whenever paparazzi haunt them. And it didn't feel nice. It's making me anxious.

I guess James wasn't really exaggerating when he said something like these media people will make a circus out of my once peaceful life.

Mygod, I didn't know that people back in the Philippines were this interested in the life of this crazy man.
