37. Make Up

At the end of the day, Ace felt as though he’d gone two weeks without her.

“It just doesn’t feel the same.” He threw his tie across the table as he ran his hands through his hair, messing it up.

“Fuck.” He groaned. “I can’t afford to lose her again. I just can’t.” He rubbed his face a few times as frustration engulfed him. He packed up his stuff and picked up his phone and keys.

He headed to the car, hair everywhere and first two shirt buttons were undone. He stopped at her favorite sushi restaurant to get her some dinner. He grabbed the plastic bag and thanked the staff. He placed the food on the passenger’s seat before getting into the car.

He drove off to her house to drop off her dinner. He sat, back to the door as he took a deep breath. She watched and heard him.

“Princess, please just let me in. I can’t do this anymore. It’s killing me.” He said as he took off the suit jacket and undid the buttons on his wrist of his shirt.

He exhaled as he leaned his head on the door.
