Chapter 30 – Milkshakes

Nathan’s POV

We head down to my Aston Vanquish and leave the underground parking lot. As soon as they spot the car coming up the ramp, the paparazzi flashes start. Luckily, they dissipate as soon as we’re on the road to the hospital.

The wait is killing me. I want Amelie to tell me she’ll marry me. I want to get married to her and make her fall in love with me. I’ve never thought I’d say it, but I want a happily ever after for the both of us. I glance at her in the passenger seat of my car. She sings along to the radio and is adorable. I can’t help but smile.

“Nathan, can we stop off at Bob’s by the hospital and get a milkshake?” She asks, “Zander is complaining that he’s being fed too healthy.” She giggles.

“Definitely,” I respond, “who doesn’t love Bob’s shakes.”

“What’s your favorite flavor?” She enquires.

“I usually get strawberry, but my absolute favorite flavor was a special flavor they had in the fall,” I spoke.

“Choco-banana swirl!” Amelie excitedly exclaims.

“Yes!” I nod.
