CHAPTER NINETEEN

MIA'S POV

I was surprised by his words, that my question to him came out a little shaper than intended.

"Of course I can cook." He replied confidently

"No! Seriously, can you really cook? "

"Yes I can cook." I almost melted at his words. I've always admired men who know how to cook. "Why do you sound like it is a crime for someone like me to cook."

" I never could have imagined that someone of your status would even know how to light a match not to talk of cooking a proper meal."

"Are you being serious? Sorry to disappoint you then, I can light a match, cook and do so many other things too. As much as we were blessed, as children, my parents made it a point of duty to see that we were very responsible. We were never allowed to look down on anyone regardless of their social status."

"That explains why Audrey is so charming."

"And I'm not?" He asked.

"Well………."
