Chapter Eighty One

“Hi, Hudson,” Stacy called sluggishly as soon as she sat in front of her brother, at the restaurant he told her that he was going to meet her.

She had been restless ever since he asked if she was at Carlton's, and there was no way that she could deny it even if she wanted to. And she agreed to meet him and talk about it, knowing that he must have been something enough to be convinced. She never thought the day they would have to speak about her and Carlton would come that briskly.

“Hey, kid sister,” Hudson responded with a dry smile, even if he had so many ideas and thoughts going on in his head. He had too many questions to ask his sister, and he was not even sure he would know where to start.

“How have you been?” Stacy asked him, as she ordered just wine instead of food, knowing that there was no way that she would be able to get food into her stomach, with the nauseating feeling that tension had spread over her body.

“Been great, sis,” Hudson answered, “Trust you have been too,”
