“Stay back!” Jane growled fiercely but Kate couldn’t exactly say if she was yelling at her or at Richie.

Her body shook with fear as she stared at the black metallic object clasped in Jane’s hands but she didn’t show her fear; She couldn’t bring herself to because she knew that that was exactly what people like Jane thrived on.

She couldn’t give her that satisfaction.

Before she came here, she had braced herself for the absolute worst; had expected Jane to pull a stunt like this from the very beginning that now it no longer surprised her.
