Chapter 9: surprise, surprise!

Shawn's POV

I hated these ridiculous meetings, but they had to be done. We were on the verge of buying a new company and it was taking more time than expected.

All through this boring meeting all I could think of was Katherine in my house. I had to travel the same day she accepted to be my wife… at least on paper.

I had one of my men send her the contract of the marriage which included a few commitments, the most important being that she had to live with me for at least a year.

She signed it the very day she received it and sent it to me, last I heard she had already moved into my house. It was amazing how quickly I got a positive reply after what happened in her house.

I had no idea what brought about this change of attitude but I was delighted it came through.

Information reached me about the meeting she had with my father, that was even the main reason I called her that fateful day, to warn her, but it seemed I had nothing to be scared about.
