   The J-3 Girls

We were sitting few distance away from the newbie at the canteen, when Jenny started a conversation

"Goodness!! Jane, don't you think  that new girl is just Soo cute"   Jenny said probably watching in admiration.

'seriously Jenny??(she asked in disgust) do you really think that girl can meet up to our standards?? Just take a look at her,( she said pointing at caira) her hair is of low quality and her sneakers  looks Soo cheap, she doesn't even look expensive to me" Jane concluded with a look of irritation.

"yeah, but I think we should make her one of us, what do you think Janelle?" Jenny asked Janelle who was already deep in thought.

 

Janelle was listening the whole time as her both friends argue, she wasn't really interested in what they were saying because she was used to their non-stop argument about everything,  sometimes, their discussion makes her sick and feel like doing away with them, but she still love them, Janelle, Jane and Jenny have been friends right from middle school, they have always been there for each other,  they protect their  interest, watch out for each other and  always get what they want, and trust wasn't an issue because they have  never betrayed each other.

 They were popularly known in school as the j-3 girls, Janelle have always been the leader/Queen of the gang because she consider herself prettier, smarter, richer and better than them in everything or so she thought.  And wasn't ready to bring in any other bitch into the gang.

"hello sweetie, what are you thinking about? we are asking for your opinion here!"  Jenny said waving her fingers at Janelle's face and also with an eye roll.

"no!!, I am not bringing in any other member into the gang!! I don't know, but I feel like that newbie might be a problem to us"  Janelle said looking at caira intensely.

While they were still watching, they saw Jason (Jane's boyfriend) walk up to  the newbie and sat with her,  Immediately, Jane got alarmed as her eyes widened in surprise and anger

"Jane, isn't that your boyfriend?"  Jenny asked pointing her fingers towards Jason,  For a while, Jane wasn't saying anything, she only watched in shock.

"what do you think they are discussing that is making the newbie smile Soo much? it must be something really interesting, right Jane?"  Jenny asked with a smirk.

Jane stood up with an unimaginable force and was about walking up to caira and jason when  Janelle intervened.

" calm down girl !!" Janelle said, holding Jane's arm.

"Let's just keep on watching the show, when she's done, we'll deal with her together" janelle said as she smirked.

They watched fervently, as Jason handed over a piece of paper  to caira,  probably his complimentary card, Jenny was putting on a bitter look as she watched.

  Caira's POV 

I finished taking my coffee and was on my way going back to class when a girl stumble into me, followed by two other girls, they stood in front of me, hindering me from going further. Their appearance in front of me didn't seem to be a coincidence, it was obvious that they had something to say, Soo I also stopped to listen.

" hey beautiful!"  One of them said smirking.

"uhmm...... hello?" I answered really confused.

"we are not here to talk shit with you, So, tell me, do you really know the guy you were chatting with at the canteen?" She asked again.

"I.... don't really know, but he introduced himself as Jason and he  also claimed to...

"I'm not interested in your stupid explanation, i just want to give you a sound warning, (Janelle said cutting caira off)

"that guy is my friend's boyfriend, So, I would advise you to stay really far away from him if you want to enjoy your stay at this school, don't you dare mess with the j-3 girls".  She said with a very serious look.

"he was just.....

"shut up darling, and handover whatever he gave to you" one of the girls who have been quiet the whole time said with her right hand stretched out.

 I quietly handed over the invitation card which was given to me by Jason.

" is this all?" She said snatching the paper roughly from me.

"yes.... that's all" I said stammering.

After everything,I finally got to class, after all the humiliation and intimidation, they finally decided to release me.  those girls were really something else, they even took the invitation  Jason gave to me.

Shortly afterwards, a female teacher  entered, she introduced herself as miss Bianca.

"hello class, like you all know, I am your head teacher and I'm in charge of all  activities of grade 12. But before we start any lecture,  I would like to inform you all that  there was an information passed to me by the school authority, I was instructed to coordinate  y'all as you pick your new study partner today.

there is a bowl containing folded pieces of papers with some student's name on it, some set of  students are to pick any paper of their choice and open it, any name they find on the paper would be their study partner through out this semester"  Miss Bianca said with a smile.

Instruction 1 : you are to pick only one paper, and the class will  be shared equally, ( the ones who would do the picking, and the ones who sit and listen for their names)

Instruction 2: you are not to change/ swap your study partner.

Instruction 3: you and your study partner are to work hand in hand in order to succeed this semester, you are both responsible for each other's mistake,.So, during the class exercise, Do not let your study partner make a costly mistake that would affect the both of you.

"You and your study partner are going to be embarking on Soo many practicals, field trips and camping *TOGETHER* (she placed emphasis on the last word) please have it in mind that you may not like your study partner, but you just need to get along with him/her if at all you want to graduate high school"

The picking process started,  the class was divided into equal half, but unfortunately I was not among the students who do the picking, I was among the benched student, who sat down anxiously awaiting their names. I don't actually have anyone in mind, but I just hope I get merged with a serious person.

Jason was the first person to pick, when he opened the piece of paper, a mischievous smile formed on his face

"Jason, can I have your paper please" Miss Bianca said while Jason quietly handed over the piece of paper to her.

" Jason picked jane" Miss Bianca said while Jane's face brightened up immediately, she was visibly blushing

The next person was senorita, but when she opened the paper, her face crumbled, it was obvious that she didn't like the person she picked.

"Lewis, you have been merged with senorita" Miss Bianca said but  Lewis face also crumpled in anger

The process went on till it finally reached Mikel's turn, Mikel walked boldly to the front of the class while I watched him in admiration, i don't know why everything he does seems Soo perfect in my sight. 

He dipped his hands in the bowl and picked up a piece of paper, he opened it but there was a blank expression on his face as he looked at the name on the piece of paper, all the girls were probably anxious as they waited impatiently to know the lucky girl who is getting merged with mikel.

Miss Bianca she collected Mikel's paper and read through it.  "caira Hudson, you've been   merged with mikel camford" she announced while everyone gasped loudly.
