THE BURIAL

As the rain starts, the priest sprinkled holy water on the top of my mother's coffin. Many people were surrounding the whole ceremony including our relatives. I contacted them as soon as I found out about my mother's death. Aunt Elizabeth panicked and rushed to my house after knowing what happened that very next day. I faced her all alone and didn't speak for a few seconds. She looked at me and just hugged me while crying. I could also feel that she was shocked to know the tragic news.

"I'm sorry, Vanessa. I was not able to be with you during that time, but God knows how I mourn for my sister," She said with teary eyes as she looked at me. I just gave her a blank expression that time. She promised that she would help me process the papers for Mama Lynette's burial. The other things were secretly provided by Nicholas. He told me the last time we meet that he would help me, too.
