Victoria barely slept the rest of the night, her mind racing with questions that had no answers. More so getting conscious she doesn't sleep carelessly while King lay beside her. But more than that, she couldn't stop thinking about those poll numbers.

It was dawn,Victoria had to stand by the windows,staring at the beautiful city.She had slipped from King's arms carefully earlier as she couldn't sleep.

"You didn't sleep," King's sleepy voice came from behind her,Victoria turned to find him lying on one elbow, watching her with those dark, perceptive eyes that saw too much.

"How could I?" As he looked back to the windows. King quietly pulled his legs out of bed and reached out for his pants before joining her at the window, he let his hand settle on her waist. "You're bothered about who pulled all those strings for your campaign."

“What if they want something I can't give?" she asked gently "What if this is just another way to control me, and cause me to owe them favours"
