Kevin stared at me for a moment, his lips pursed tightly. He was struggling with what to say and for a good five minutes, we continued staring at each other, tension in the air and no one saying a word. But Kevin eventually broke the silence. He sighed and leaned backwards, his face solemn.

“Katherine was my mother. When she died, I was merely 6 years old, so I had no idea what transpired until I was fifteen years old.
