My eyes fluttered open and the light almost blinded me. Where am I? Am I married already? Is this Zion’s place? The green eyed man. “Oh my God! I’ve been kidnapped”. I quickly checked my hands but they weren’t tied. I need to escape. “You’re awake. Good” someone said. I turned around to see a man standing by the window, looking at me. His hands were folded and he had a bored expression on. It was the green eyed man. “Who are you? What do you want from me?” I asked, trying to keep fear out of my voice. “I’m Zion’s half brother and I am going to be your husband” he deadpanned. I laughed. I didn’t stop laughing until I bent over my sides and felt my stomach hurt. His expression didn’t change. He wasn’t amused or surprised by my response. So I said, “are you joking? Is this some kind of mean joke from Zion?” “I don’t joke and I am not Zion’s puppet” he stated. Gaining my cool, I stood up from the bed, and oh, I was still in my fucking wedding dress! “I don’t have time for this. I have a duty to my family and I’m pretty sure wedding guests don’t like to be kept waiting” I didn’t make it to the door before his words hit me like a bombshell. “Exactly, duty to family”. “What?” I turned to face him. Now that I’m really looking at him, he was a feast for the eyes. His shoulders were broad with a lean powerful build. The sleeves of his shirt was folded on his upper arm revealing strong muscles. I didn’t need to guess, I could tell he was a gym rat. “Why do you think your father is making you marry Zion?” He asks I snort but I answer him, “For my family” “You see, daddy dearest did some bad business and now, your family is paying for it. Your fortune is gone, including the roof over your heads” he stated. That’s not true. Father couldn’t be that careless. I knew the family’s fortune was bad, and that was why I was marrying Zion, but it couldn’t be so bad. “Zion will handle it” I say and turn to walk out again. “Your father owes me. Zion cannot make that go away” “But why?” I asked. “I don’t even know Zion, I’m marrying him because that’s what father wants. It’s not like we are in love” “Don’t act like you are naive. Zion is marrying you for a reason. It’s a business transaction. I want to stop it” “By marrying me?” I ask again, my temper rising, “is that something a sane person would do?” He looks at me like I’m a dumb two year old that needs to be schooled properly. “Zion took something from me. I want it back. I don’t have to explain anything to you, I just need you to be a good little wife” “Then go get it!” I yelled. “Go get it, instead of marrying me” “You still don’t get it” he said, moving to the vanity table. He opened the drawer and brought out a paper on a clipboard. “You are a pawn in a much more bigger game. I will use you, ruin Zion and if you behave well, you will leave with very little scars” he threw the clipboard on the bed. He nods for me to pick it up. I snorted as my eyes scanned the content. It was a marriage contract stating he would divorce me as soon as his goal is achieved. “You are sick.” I spat at him. “I don’t have time for this” I turned around to leave for the…..oh I’ve lost count already. He brings out his phone and makes a call. I hear the phone ring once from the speakerphone, then, “yes sir?” “The Ashtons are unable to pay up. Clear the house” his voice was commanding and cruel. His face was wiped of all emotions as he stared at me, daring me to leave. “You have until the count of ten” he mouths at me. “1” He’s bluffing. Of course, he wouldn’t throw us out of our house. I don’t even know this man, he might be lying. “2” But what if he does? His face is stern, ice cold even. Like he could watch the world burn and not care. He doesn’t look like someone who would just lie for the fun of it. “3” But I can’t let my family suffer. All my life, I’ve been told to put my duty to my family first. What if he isn’t bluffing? What if he throws us out? “4” Does marrying him go against father’s will? What does he have against Zion? And why does he want me? “5” This can’t be happening. I can’t be having a countdown to sign a marriage certificate with a man who kidnapped me “6” I hear the men on the other side of the phone moving. One cocks a gun and the sound of a gunshot fills the room. “7” “Why are you doing this?” I whisper “8” I’m sure I could figure something out. What is it with men telling me how to live my life? “9” “Please” a tear dropped down my eye as I picked up the clipboard “10” “Please” I whisper again. And then I signed.Simone Green eyes, sharp with something….hate, disgust, or something else I still cannot name stared at me, rooting my feet to the ground. Casually, like he didn’t just catch me ogling him, he took off his buds and turned around to look at me. Now, it wasn’t his reflection I was seeing, and even though I hate to admit it, the man was endowed. “What?” He asked, disgust evident in his voice. It seems I have disturbed his personal space, and it gave me some level of satisfaction. My life wasn’t the only one in ruins, great! “What did you do?” I asked, marching across the room to stand in front of him. “What?” He asked again, walking away from me to pick up a towel. Like a stray dog, I followed him, haste in my words, “You tell me” “Who gave you the right to block access to our accounts” I asked, my temper rising as adrenaline pumped through me. “Oh, that” he muttered, picking up the bottle of water on the table and opening it to take a sip. “Oh, that?” I asked, my hands on my wa
Simone My eyes fluttered open and the events of yesterday, came rushing back. I had gone into Nate’s room to search it. I couldn’t find anything there, but I tried as much as possible to keep things the way they were. How he knew I had been in his room is still surprising. By any chance, does he have a cctv camera in the house? Instinctively, I looked up, then sideways. My eyes scanned the room, searching for a red light or dot, but nothing. Good, no camera. I mean, how paranoid is he if he has a camera installed in his own house? But something was nagging at me, a feeling I had been trying to not acknowledge. When he had barged into my room, I was ready to answer whatever questions he had, but I couldn’t form a single sentence. It was the way he looked at me, it was there for a second, and then gone in the next. There was something in his eyes, something I couldn’t decipher and it bothered me. The sound of my phone ringing brought me back to reality. “Hey sis” I answered
NateI walked down the hallway heading to her room, and thinking of the best way to handle this. I knew I couldn’t trust her, but I didn’t think it would be this early. I mean, she didn’t even try to get comfortable first. So, she was playing detective now? Funny!! Her door was closed, music softly blaring through the closed door. I turned the knob and was instantly taken aback by what I saw. She was staring at the mirror, her pajamas shirt on the table as she wiped her hair. The only thing covering her ass was her towel. Her eyes instantly widened and she turned around to look at me, “what are you….can’t you knock?” She asked, her voice cracking and rising at the same time. I rested my back on the wall, and folded my hands clearly enjoying the view. Her curly brown hair was all over the place, wet and covering her tiny breasts. I could see a birthmark on top of her right breast, and as she breathed heavily, her hair moved a little out of the way, exposing perfectly round tits.
Nate The room was loud. The speakers boomed with music and the Dj was being extra loud on the mic. “C’mon Nate, drink up” Zion laughed, bringing his glass to his lips. “I’m good” I tell him. I’ve never been one to have too many drinks, and I think two glasses were enough. “You just need inherited an entire empire” Zion mocked, “drink up man”. I stare at him. I know he’s hurt that dad left everything to me. Dad has always questioned Zion’s ability and character. But I was not going to do the same. “Look Zion. You are as much the CEO as I am. You are my brother” He looked at me, displeased. “Since you won’t be drinking, let’s go home” he said. I stood up, leaving the bills on the table. “You go ahead, I need to use the restroom” he tells me. “Be quick” I say. I stood at the entrance waiting for the valet to bring the car over, fumbling with my phone. Everywhere seemed quiet, too quiet for the outside of a night club. I looked up to see there were no bouncers or se
Simone My dress was a simple floral gown, perfect for a family dinner. The neckline was a little low, but it was appropriate. Nate had come home earlier and spat orders about getting ready for a family dinner. He gave me ten minutes. “You took more than ten minutes” Nate hissed as I stepped in the car. I didn’t respond. I didn’t know what to say. The drive took almost an hour, and by the time we arrived, everyone was already seated. “It’s nice to have a new member in the family” Gramps smiled at me. He was old, but he seemed to have control over his body. He wasn’t feeble and everyone on the table seemed to respect him so much. And when I say everyone, I mean, Nate and Zion. “Thank you” I smile sheepishly. It isn’t nice to be in the middle of this war. “How did Nate get to marry you? Zion told me you were his bride” I looked to Nate. How was I supposed to answer that? Tell his grandfather he kidnapped me? And dangled my choices over my head? “It’s okay dear. I know t
Nate She is staring at me, brown eyes that cannot hide the hate it holds. “What is your game?” I ask her. This marriage isn’t what she wants, I bet she would prefer Zion over me. “Nothing.” She states. I walk over to her, dragging on my cigarette. She was short, her head reaching my shoulders. I bent over her and exhaled, smoke forming a wild circle before dissipating in her face. She coughs, but doesn’t shy away. Her stubborn brown eyes meeting mine. This one was tough, maybe I was mistaken about her. “You aim to please, huh?” I teased. “If you wish” Now that I look at her, she was pretty. Her brown eyes complement her brunette hair, that seemed to be all over the place. Her skin was fair and her cheekbones were high. She reeked of old money elegance, and pride. One that she is struggling to hold on to. “I know what you are doing” I circle her. Her nightdress hung loosely on her body, revealing curves that would be tempting to any man. “You want to
