Chapter 24.2 "A Jealous Friend"

“Why are you standing in front of the b*tch’s room like a thief?” asked Madell.

Reese quickly bowed her head to give respect, and in order to butter her up. “G-Good evening young lady.” When she lifted her gaze, she saw Madell smirking at her. “I c-came here because Harriet asked me to check something in her room.”

“Oh really? You two are really close, aren’t you?”

When Madell stepped closer, Reese moved backward.

“Which means, if I Harriet annoyed me, I can vent up my anger to you. Right? Because you are her friend.”

Reese gulped hardly. ‘Madell will hit me. She will hit me,’ she thought.

“I a-am Harriet’s friend but…”

She could not continue her words because Madell slapped her cheek. The tingling sensation spread across her reddened cheek. Holding it, Reese looked at Madell in shocked silence as she is about to burst into tears.

“Woah. This is refreshing,” Madell said before he grab a handful of Reese’s hair.
