Chapter 1

Adams POV

Morning came faster than I had expected. I didn't need to look at my diary to understand that the day is going to be long and busy for me. However, what pulled my attention from the tonality I had set for myself, was the sudden buzz on my phone, when i had turned the data on.

Check-in through the media's timeline, I am shocked to the bone by the headline of the news set before me.

"Adams Russell 's beloved wife caught in the act of infidelity?" 

My mouth was wide apart and my eyes couldn't believe the words I was reading. This must be some sort of joke.

It wasn't a joke however, when the videos suddenly popped up in my dm. Apparently, some anonymous person had decided to send the videos over for me to look through.

The moment I finished watching the video, my anger was uncontrollable. I didn't want to imagine Selina had done this, but it was there; there evidence was there in bare sight for the whole world to behold.

Getting out of my bed, I had one place in mind to get to, but I would be stopped in my track by Dominic s my assistant.

"Good morning boss." His breathing pattern was sufferable and it appeared that he wanted to see me.

"What do you want?" I questioned.

"I am truly sorry to bother you, but I think we have a situation in our hands...." He said pulling out his phone.

"Don't you dare show me that video." I warned, staring at him sternly.

"Oh! I am sorry boss. I didnt know you have seen the video already." He replied pulling back his phone into his pocket. "The reason I came is to explain to you that you are the one at the video sir."

Confused, I looked at Dominic s trying to understand what he was talking about. 

"What do you mean I am the man with Selina? I have never been to that place before and I don't remember living a life so public that I would be recorded on camera." 

"The day was Sunday, March 22nd Selina had approached me, about how confused she was on the sort of dress to wear, as you had promised to take her to a party. I have her a perfect description as I also major in fashion designs and she heed to my advice." 

He paused for a moment and pulled out his phone once more.

"It's the exact same dress in the video sir." He finished off.

I tried recalling the event and I can't place my head around ever asking Selina to go on a party with me. I didn't reckon her to be worthy of even attending events with me.

"Dominic s, what are you not telling me? Why are you keen on defending her excesses? Do I need to remind you of what this video means to my company? My family and above all my reputation?" 

"I am sorry sir. I didn't intend to defend Selina in the manner you assuming. I just thought it would be wise to tell you these information, before you take any drastic decisions." 

Staring at Dominic s one last time, I didn't want to transfer my anger to him. He has been a loyal assistant.

"I will let this pass." I stated and head out towards my car. 

As we moved through the free express road, I felt my phone buzz; a familiar name popped up on my screen.

"Father! I told you about this girl. I warned that she had the tendency of being promiscuous. Now the video is online, everyone would not look at me nor the company the same way again!" I hated my father's decision that very moment, while I spoke with him.

Why did he had to pair me with such a woman?

What favour did she grant to him, that he was hell bent on making a matrimony out of the both of us? 

"Now you listen son? I don't want you taking a rash decision. I know you are on the road. I demand that you turn back, go back to the house. Don't show your face at the company for now and speak with your wife about this. I would have the Influencers sort this media chaos out." 

After he hung up, my driver swerved around and we were headed back to the house. My thoughts were all over the place. 

I needed to take actions fast and there was only one plan in my mind and I didn't care if my father would be mad. It was for the sake of my reputation.

Once we arrived at the apartment, Jolie was standing at the entrance. Once I stepped out of the car, she rushed to embrace me in a warm hug.

"I saw the news, and I came to say sorry." She mentioned with her calm tone. "I tried warning you on the type of girl she is. I know she was going to ruin your reputation. That is what has gotten her this far back to this place." I did not say a word, but merely head into the living room.

"So what are you going to do right now?" She asked and I paused half way through the stairs and turned around to look at her.

"I will not have that whore dent my image. The only reason why I chose to marry her was because of my father and it is a general knowledge. I am going to make sure that all that nonsense ends."

I rushed through the stairs and made my way to her room. I looked through her wardrobes for her bag and pulled them all out.

"She is going to leave my house today." I moved down the stairs with the luggage.

I pulled the bags to the entrance of the mansion and dropped them on the ground, while the gates opened. 

The car moved in and Selina stepped out with a shock and

confusion etched on her face.

"What is the meaning of this?"
