18. His Command

"Sha, I'll always break the rules when I'm with you, Sha. Do you forget that I had an affair with you while I was still married to Freya?" Uncle Vincent asked with a sardonic laugh. His eyes looked at me with disdain. "And because you're in my hotel, I'll never conduct any of this professionally," Uncle Vincent said as he raised his feet onto the table, then spun his chair around. "I would never be professional when dealing with you."

I shook my head in disbelief at his cruel words. Why couldn't this guy just leave me alone?

"Think about it, why do you think I bought this lousy hotel?" he asked again. "Because I saw a picture of you … working here as a maid!"

Uncle Vincent handed me some documents on the table. Photos of the hotel's general appearance are meant for potential buyers. Oh my god! I had to decline when the previous owner asked me to be a model for the housekeeping department.

Ah, because of that little thing, I ended up in this mess. Good deeds don't always yield sweet re
