SASHA’S POV

“Do you have a driver’s license, Sha?” Mr. Rey asked, curious about what I could handle around the house.

“Yup, I do,” I replied, sorting through paperwork to transfer Noah to a new daycare.

“Great. Then you can drop off and pick up Rachel too. Let’s move Noah to the same private preschool as Rachel. It’s got a great early learning program, so you won’t have to run back and forth.”

“But, Mr. Rey, I can’t afford the monthly tuition or the enrollment fee,” I said hesitantly. “I’ve got some savings, but I’m keeping them for Noah’s college fund.”

Mr. Rey went quiet, clearly caught off guard. I guess he didn’t realize how pricey Rachel’s school was. He pulled up the preschool’s website to check, and his eyes widened at the five grand registration fee and a thousand monthly fees.

“It’s fine if I have to make extra trips, Mr. Rey. I’ll find a cheaper place for Noah,” I offered.

But Mr. Rey shook his head. “Don’t worry about the cost. I’ll cover all of Noah’s school expenses.”

  • The Billionaire's Regret: He Wants Me Back   25. A Billionaire in Disguise

SASHA’S POVI was floored by Rachel’s reaction. Why didn’t I see this coming? Of course she might not be thrilled about strangers moving into her house. Even siblings get jealous—imagine how a kid feels when another child shows up as competition in their own home.“Rachel! Don’t act like that!” Mr. Rey and Farah scolded almost in unison. I had to fight the urge to snap at the little blonde brat myself. Who’d stand for their kid being insulted? But what could I do? As guests, we had to play nice.“Be sweet, honey!” Mr. Rey coaxed his daughter. “Why don’t you make friends with Noah?”“You know I don’t like boys, Dad! Why’d you bring him here?” Rachel whined, her high-pitched voice pure drama. Her gorgeous green eyes shot daggers, like some villain straight out of a movie.“Starting today, Noah’s living with us. No arguments!” Mr. Rey said firmly. He glanced at me, guilt in his eyes, clearly embarrassed that his daughter was rejecting Noah’s presence.“Rachel, your dad’s a guy too. You d

  • The Billionaire's Regret: He Wants Me Back   24. Mr. Rey's Protection

SASHA’S POV“Fiancée?” Uncle Vincent’s eyes widened. “What’s that supposed to mean? Isn’t office romance against the rules?”“Sasha’s resigning soon. That means I’m free to propose and make her my fiancée, and it’s got nothing to do with you!” Mr. Rey declared loudly. “You’d better leave now, because the police are on their way. You don’t want your name dragged through the mud over this, do you, Mr. Gray?”Mr. Rey’s threat shut Uncle Vincent up. No way he’d risk his reputation and his shiny new hotel over something so petty, right? *Hotel Owner Assaults Employee.* Not exactly a headline he’d want.“I’ll go… for now,” Uncle Vincent said, glaring at me, Noah, and Mr. Rey in turn. “We’ll finish this later.”With that, he stormed out of my apartment. Turns out, Mr. Rey hadn’t actually called the police—it was just a bluff. But it worked. Without it, Uncle Vincent would’ve never left.I tucked Noah back into bed once he’d calmed down. He still hiccupped with sobs, even with his eyes closed

  • The Billionaire's Regret: He Wants Me Back   23. Father and Son

LIA’S POV“Still hurt?” asked the handsome guy with glasses who’d saved me from the wrath of… uh… Sasha’s ex. What was his name again? Vincent, right?“A little, sir,” I replied, confused.“Hang in there,” he said casually.I swear, this guy was drop-dead gorgeous. Young, too. If I could get a client as hot and kind as him, life would feel like paradise. Hell, I’d do it for free.“Why’re you smirking like that?” he asked, snapping me out of my wild daydreams—imagining round after round of nonstop passion with the tall, chiseled guy in front of me. “Hold on a sec. I need to call my daughter and let her know I’ll be home late tonight.”I nodded, disappointed. Married, huh. No way I’d mess up a happy family. I quickly shoved away the naughty thoughts that had my core throbbing and my panties soaked. My face felt hot and a bit bruised. When Vincent threw me out of the room, he was way too rough. Thank God this guy happened to be passing by and helped me. From the skimpy outfit I had on, h

  • The Billionaire's Regret: He Wants Me Back   22. Vincent and Noah

VINCENT’s POVI couldn’t wrap my head around Sasha’s little surprise. How did that innocent girl from back then learn to please a guy my age like this? Did she think I was bored with old-school stuff? Didn’t she know I was already plenty satisfied just being with her, no matter how it happened? Did she not get that I was pushing her like this because I missed her?Hold on. Why all these tricks? Who taught her this stuff? Don’t tell me she’s been selling herself to get by. If not, how else would she know things I never showed her?Who taught my sweet little bunny these dark games? Who’s been touching what’s mine?Too bad my body didn’t have room for jealousy. It was already rock-hard, itching to reunite with its favorite place. It couldn’t wait another second. Half-crazed from playing the celibate boy for so long—well, not that saintly, since I’d sometimes had to take matters into my own hands to calm that little devil down for a while.“Sasha, baby, where are you?” I called out, eager

  • The Billionaire's Regret: He Wants Me Back   21. A Messed-up Plan

“Sha, where’d you go?” Uncle Vincent’s voice sharpened, sensing my movement.“Just a sec, Uncle! Grabbing something!” I lied, a flicker of fear in my chest. I hurried back to his side.Lia slipped into the room, her steps so silent they were practically ghostly. Those long legs of hers moved without a sound—she must’ve been a cat burglar in another life. I shot her a hopeful glance, praying everything would go smoothly.“No talking, okay, Uncle?” I whispered our deal into his ear, making sure he thought it was just me in the room. “If you talk, I stop. I’m not talking either. Let’s just… let our bodies do the communication.”He nodded, letting out a low groan that sent shivers down my spine. “Whatever you want, baby.”I glanced at Lia again. She was close now, shrugging off her coat to reveal a jaw-dropping outfit that clung perfectly to her curves, the kind of look that’d make any guy lose his mind. But as her eyes adjusted to the dim light, Lia froze, her jaw practically dropping at

  • The Billionaire's Regret: He Wants Me Back   20. The Night

With Lia’s help, I planned out everything I’d do tonight. She taught me the best way to pull off my secret plan. That night, I headed to Uncle Vincent’s room, my heart pounding with nervous hope. 'This has to work', I prayed silently. Uncle Vincent opened the door and gestured for me to come in. The smirk on his face practically screamed, *“Finally, you’re back to me.”*“Why aren’t you wearing any makeup?” he asked, eyeing me up and down. I was just in my usual housekeeping clothes, nothing special. “You used to love skincare and makeup.”His question caught me off guard, and it hit me that I hadn’t done any kind of self-care in forever. I was too scared to touch my savings. Back when I was with him, my high-end makeup and skincare could’ve bankrupted me in months. I used the best stuff, after all.Since I couldn’t afford those products anymore, I just stopped using them altogether. What’s the point of being beautiful if beauty only brings me misery? I didn’t want to sell myself to hi

  • The Billionaire's Regret: He Wants Me Back   19. The Secret Plan

I just stood there, frozen. Should I sell myself for the sake of everyone around me? Am I really that selfish if I don’t want to degrade myself in front of that creep again? Go back to being the naive girl I used to be, satisfying every single one of his disgusting whims?“I am not a whore, Uncle,” I said, my voice so soft I could barely hear it myself.“I know you’re not a whore, Sha!” Uncle Vincent shot back, laughing. “That’s why I asked you to be my personal maid. But you turned me down.” He leaned in closer. “Besides, what’s so hard about spending one more night with me? We’ve done it plenty of times before, haven’t we? I still remember exactly how to make you feel good. I haven’t forgotten those sweet spots of yours, Sha. The ones that make you beg for more. What about you? Have you forgotten everything?”I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to block out the pain in my chest. The vile man in front of me was showing his true colors now, no pretense left. Back then, he’d been sweet to

"Sha, I'll always break the rules when I'm with you, Sha. Do you forget that I had an affair with you while I was still married to Freya?" Uncle Vincent asked with a sardonic laugh. His eyes looked at me with disdain. "And because you're in my hotel, I'll never conduct any of this professionally," Uncle Vincent said as he raised his feet onto the table, then spun his chair around. "I would never be professional when dealing with you."I shook my head in disbelief at his cruel words. Why couldn't this guy just leave me alone?"Think about it, why do you think I bought this lousy hotel?" he asked again. "Because I saw a picture of you … working here as a maid!"Uncle Vincent handed me some documents on the table. Photos of the hotel's general appearance are meant for potential buyers. Oh my god! I had to decline when the previous owner asked me to be a model for the housekeeping department.Ah, because of that little thing, I ended up in this mess. Good deeds don't always yield sweet re
