Alessa waited impatiently for a call. She was sitting at the edge of her bed, fully dressed. She tapped her feet repeatedly on the floor as she waited.

It was past midnight. Aria was discharged after the doctor confirmed that she was fine.

Her voice suddenly rang, she looked at the screen and realised it was Thane.

She answered the call immediately.

“We found him, boss,” Thane said. Alessa felt relieved immediately.

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, boss.”

“I am on my way.”

Alessa ended the call and stood up. She walked to her table and she was about to open the drawer to pull out a gun when she heard her door opening.

She hurriedly closed it and turned to the door to see Aiden.

“Why are you dressed like Batman?” Aiden asked as he held the handle.

“What do you want?” Alessa asked, sighing.

“I was hungry,” he replied, raising the bag of chips he held.

“Okay,” Alessa replied and nodded. She hoped he wouldn't ask too many questions.

“Good night.” he yawned and closed the door as he walked out.
