Chapter 21 House Warming

“You are glowing. I want every detail.” Sophia says the minute she steps into the door of Mia's new apartment. Typical Sophia. Always looking for the juicy stuff.

“Hush. I haven’t told Calvin about Chris yet.”

“Oops, sorry.” Sophia grimaces. Mia shakes her head.

“Sophia, is that you?” Calvin wheels himself out of his bedroom.

“Hi Calvin, you look good.” Sophia bends over and hugs Calvin.

“You look as fabulous as always.”

“Oh, Calvin, you are the best. Can I have a room tour first?”

“Come on, let me show you around,” Calvin says proudly.

Calvin has been in a good mood since they moved in. The facilities in this apartment make movement much easier for him. His condition is improving, fewer sleepless nights, and less complaining of pain. The rehabilitation sessions seem to have some effects. And most important of all, he hasn’t to constantly worry about their rent or being kicked out as before. The landlord signed a five-year lease with zero rent with them. This is a huge relief
