-Eve-
The anxiety of not knowing got the best of me so I stood up and left the room.
As I got out of the room I was in, I wandered towards the exit and found myself in what seemed like a hidden park inside the building. I was amazed at how beautiful the place looked, on a good day I would have stayed and admired the place. But I need to get out of here and find my cheating ex-boyfriend and ex-bestfriend.
If they think they can easily get away from me they are wrong.
"I'm not wrong. Shouldn't you reflect on yourself? Sophie is prettier than you and has a gentler personality. You're so unromantic. Every day with you is torture for me. Do you understand? Leave us."
A girl was pushed to the ground and was crying silently. In front of her, there was a man and a woman, their half-naked bodies and love bites telling everything.
What the hell is wrong with the world?
And how come there are more jerks than there are good guys?
Before I knew it, my feet moved on their own and didn’t stop until I was standing between the cheating couple.
"What's wrong with you? You betrayed her and are still acting innocent here, blaming everything on others. It's disgusting. You're a self-righteous fool. And you..."
They both turned to face me. The girl looked shocked but as for the man, he looked more amused than surprised.
“This is for everyone who got betrayed by the people they trusted the most,” I said as I pulled my hand back and slapped the woman’s face so hard that the sound that came from the contact was so loud.
“Cut!” A loud shout boomed surprising me as crew members appeared nowhere.
“What the hell are you doing?!” The woman covered her face and shouted. A team of women with makeup and other stuff appeared to check on her face, and then a man with a dark face pulled me aside.
"Where did you find such a stupid woman? She actually dared to hit me. I'm telling you, if this isn't resolved properly, I’ll give up this film." She snarled with that dark-faced man, the director, I supposed.
Then all the lights came on one after another, and some people carrying cameras came out from the corners.
I turned around and looked at all this, suddenly realizing that I got into trouble.
They are shooting a film.
This was fake.
And I just had a crazy outburst, like a lunatic. I regained my senses and really wanted to find a hole to crawl into.
“I never knew you were that strong,” I turned to see a tall figure lurking in the dark but he slowly walked towards me, and I stood face-to-face with the man in front of me. My eyes blinked several times as the realization of who he was dawned on me.
I can’t believe I am letting Vincent Beckett see me ridicule myself. We have always been head-to-head with each other. Especially at school. All I know is that he is a rich spoiled brat who always gets everything he wants, except being the top in our school because I always get that spot.
“What are you doing here?” I asked as he chuckled. Of all the people to see my mistake why the hell does it have to be Vincent freaking Beckett.
“Shouldn’t I be the one to be asking that?” It was more than a question as a smirk appeared on his face.
Instead of answering his question, I just stared at him.
“Cat got your tongue, Eve?” The smirk was back on his face and I wish I could slap him.
“Well, it’s not my fault that they didn’t explain everything clearly to me,” I retorted, trying and failing at the same time to redeem myself.
He looked at me in silence, all amused as I fought my urge to turn and run away because whoever left lost this game that we were playing. Even though I am not sure if I am winning.
“Why do I feel like what you are not acting? Like you experience the very same thing?” He rubbed his chin, pretending that he was in deep thought. I felt my cheeks heat up as I looked away from him. I can’t further embarrass myself in front of him.
“There you are!” The woman with the headset and clipboard said loudly. “I clearly told you to stay put and you wouldn’t listen!”
“I’m not even sure why…” I started to explain but she cut me off.
“You’re just an extra!” She shouted raising her hands along with the clipboard. “You need to pay for all the damages you have caused and all the pain you made Miss Honey endure.”
“What damages?” I asked.
“The time. The set, and the actors and actress f*e for wasting their time.”
“How can you hold me accountable when I wasn’t supposed to be here? You pulled me even though I tried to stop you several times.”
“You will pay or you will go to jail.” She crosses her arm.
“I can’t go to jail,” I said, trying to reason out.
She was about to say something else when someone called her.
“Wait here,” she said angrily, “Or I’ll make sure you really go to jail.”
I watched her as she walked away.
I sighed not sure what the hell I put myself into. I turned around and found that Vincent Beckett was still standing there, smiling at me.
“How much do you think the damage they keep saying I cause cost?” I asked him
“About a couple of hundred…” He started to say but I cut him.
“Good I think I still have a thousand dollars saved up,” I said simply, but I stopped breathing the moment that he finished his sentence.
“...thousand of dollars.”
“What?” I said almost screaming.
I don’t have that money. Where the hell am I going with that money when I don’t even have any work yet? Having my two part-time gigs isn’t even enough to cover five thousand dollars.
Panic runs through my veins as I am not sure what to do.
“Are you okay?” He asked and I just nodded even though I really am not.
“I guess, I’ll see you around,” I hear him say, but can’t look at him as my mind races thinking of ways to earn the money to pay the damages.
-Brie/Althea-I decided to do some reading in the park nearby. After the meeting with Emmet, I know that he deserves to get the contract. But what I couldn’t forget was when Abby asked him why he chose Moonlight. “Why choose Moonlight?”A smile appeared on his lips as he replied. “Because I want to be the light for those in the dark.”It was not just because of the answer that he had given me. It was also because of how he looked directly at the camera as if he were looking at me. It was as if he were telling me those exact words. I couldn’t help but shake my head with a smile on my lips as I remember the way his eyes twinkled with that beautiful smile that he showed me. “I hope that the reason you’re smiling is because you’re thinking of me,” I froze, because I know that voice very well. It was the same voice I had been playing on repeat when I went to my bathroom with my fingers between my legs as I pleasure myself. I looked up only to be blinded by the sunlight that passed th
-Emmet-I flew back to the place that felt more like home to me than the one I had back in the States. I know that I should be focusing on my business, but now that I am flying towards her, I couldn’t help but think about her. I had never felt anything like this before. And I never got hung up on any woman before. Except for the woman I met at that masquerade party. The woman who made the other woman I’ve been with meant nothing. That fucking them didn’t even do anything for me. I mean my dick would get hard but I wouldn’t be able to get through, leaving me with a painful case of blueballs. But all of that ended with Althea. She gave me something that the silver girl gave me, and so much more. I know that the silver girl gave me her virginity. And I was thankful for that. But Althea gave me hope. The hope is that I could be a better person than I am today. I love her sexy lips, just as much as I love it around my cock. I love the sound of her voice just as much as I love to hear
-Brie-It’s been days since he left. Days since I had been staring at his calling card, thinking whether I should send him a message or not. Ralph said that he had a serious conversation with him. And he felt like there was really a connection between us. But he also warned me that we still don’t know him that well. He asked if I wanted to do a background check on Emmet which I declined because I didn’t feel that was the right thing to do. I hate doing those kinds of things because it’s invasive to someone’s privacy. I still preferred the old-fashioned way of getting to know each other. For me, if someone decided to tell you their whole truth, it only means that you are special to them. That was what I was hoping for with Emmet. That I would be enough for him to show me who he really was. My phone rang, and when I saw who it was, it made me smile. “Princess,” Abby said breathlessly. “I’m so sorry for calling back so late.” “Not a problem, Abby, I wasn’t even busy,” I replied.
-Emmet-The next day, Hector’s accident was all over the news. He came from a party and got into a car accident. Sending him to surgery, and several broken bones. And not only that, he was caught drunk driving, which would give him a record with the law. I know that he could do everything to lessen the sentence, but since his father was running in the upcoming election. They need to show the people that the law isn’t above everyone. Tony is a brilliant artist. I don’t know how he did it, but nothing was traceable to us. I thought everything was fine until I received a phone call from my sister. “Did you do it?” She asked.“Did what?” I asked, denying her question even though I knew very well what she was referring to.“Tell me you didn’t do it.” The panic in her voice was evident, but her anger was louder. “I didn’t do anything,” I lied. “I don’t even know what you’re talking about.” Now, it’s my voice that’s rising. I love my sister, but sometimes I hate how she knows me so well
-Emmet-*Trigger warning: "This content may contain depictions of [violence, sexual assault, suicide, etc.] that some readers may find disturbing." If you are sensitive to this topic, please skip this chapter. Just as Garrett said, someone was waiting for me at the airport. The driver never said a word, just rushed me to the hospital that Vincent’s grandmother owns. I went straight to the special VIP floor where Vincent and Tony were waiting. “You need to calm down,” Vincent said in a low voice. “How the fuck should I calm down?” I asked furiously, but still trying my best to keep my voice low. “By thinking about the effect this has on your sister,” Vincent replied in his non-negotiable voice. “If you keep being a hot-headed teenager and keep on lashing out at her instead of letting her know that you have her back. You would lose her.” I looked at Vincent, and I knew that what he said was nothing but a warning. I know that I make fuck up decision most of the times but that does
-Emmet-I rushed as soon as I finished talking to Ems. I wasn’t even able to say goodbye to Althea because I was in a hurry. I hope that she will understand me. I asked Peter for her number, but he forgot his phone and didn’t have it memorized. Typical brother, I don’t know what I’d do if I lost Ems’ number. “Please let her contact me,” I said to Peter as I handed him my calling card. I know that this isn’t the proper way to tell the woman you like so much to call you back, but I was in a rush. I need to make sure that Ems is alright. “Please tell her, I will wait for her call, and let me know how much the repair costs. I will make sure to send the payment.” Peter nodded as he took my card. But I hate nodding. I want to hear answers. “Would you do that for me?” I asked, and Peter looked at me as he stopped for the red light. “Can I ask you a question?” He asked, turning to face me. “A man-to-man honest conversation.” “Hit it,” I replied. I am a lot of things, but if the brother
