“I understand.” She said nodding her head. She understood now why he had reacted that way. But he could have told her directly instead of showing a changed behavior. She would not have to waste all her energy thinking about what must have happened.

She even went as far as thinking if he was regretting their ‘marriage’. She could not afford to lose it now.

He looked at her with surprise. It was the first time she was agreeing to something he was saying.

“Grandpa wants us to go on our honeymoon.” He said remembering what James had told him earlier. It had completely left his mind.
