Ethan took a swig of his whiskey as he sat in his swivel chair in his office. He was staring at nothing in particular, his mind in deep thought.

He couldn't bring himself to work because of the fight he had with Amelia the previous night.

Her anger was justified, he shouldn't have raised his voice at her but she was being so stubborn when he just wanted to protect her.

He recalled how she ignored him this morning when he tried to make amends.
