"I'm sorry, Crystal, I swear I love you, I don't hate you," I sobbed, my words falling on deaf ears as her lifeless body lay before me.

"Aurora," I heard her weak voice, barely above a whisper, and my heart shattered into a million irreparable pieces at the sound.

"Someone help!" I screamed, my voice hoarse with grief and desperation. But there was no one around to hear, no one to save her from the cruel fate that had befallen her.

"Shh, you'll be alright, Crystal," I whispered, cradling her broken form in my arms as if my love alone could mend her shattered soul.

"I'm sorry, Sky, I'm sor—" Her words were cut off by a choked gasp, her hand falling limply to the ground as her breathing ceased, leaving behind only the cold silence of death.

"Crystal!" I screamed, my voice echoing into the night as I shook her lifeless body, begging for her to open her eyes one last time.

And then, as if from a distance, I heard a familiar voice say.

“Babe”, I looked up to see Asher standing there, frozen in shock at the scene before him, his eyes wide with horror and disbelief.

“What have you done?”

My heart skipped a beat as our eyes met, the weight of his gaze heavy with unspoken emotions that threatened to consume us both. But in that moment, all I could feel was the overwhelming emptiness of loss, as the world around me crumbled into darkness.

Aurora Williams

As I lay there, disoriented and in pain, the beeping machines around me seemed to grow louder, echoing the chaotic rhythm of my racing heart. With each labored breath, the weight of the unknown pressed down upon me, suffocating me with fear and uncertainty.

Slowly, I peeled open my heavy eyelids, squinting against the harsh hospital lights that assaulted my senses. The throbbing ache in my head intensified with each passing moment, threatening to consume me whole.

Panic seized me as I surveyed my surroundings, the sterile hospital room offering no solace, no answers to the burning question that clawed at the edges of my consciousness.

"What happened?" I whispered to myself, the words barely audible amidst the cacophony of medical equipment. And then, like a dam bursting open, the memories flooded back with chilling clarity.

Crystal.

Her name hung in the air like a ghost, haunting me with the memory of her face, etched with worry and fear. The events of the previous night crashed over me like a tidal wave, leaving me gasping for breath in their wake.

Without hesitation, I tore away the wires that bound me to the bed, driven by an instinctual need to find her, to ensure her safety in the midst of this chaos. Ignoring the protests of the medical staff, I stumbled out of the room, my mind consumed by thoughts of Crystal.

The journey through the hospital corridors was a blur, each step fueled by a desperate need to reach her side. Images flashed before my eyes—blood, wreckage, screams—each one a dagger to my already wounded heart.

And then, amidst the chaos, I heard it—a familiar cry that pierced through the haze of my confusion, drawing me inexorably forward. With trembling steps, I followed the sound, my heart pounding in my chest as I approached the source of the anguished wail.

There, in a room bathed in the harsh glow of fluorescent lights, lay Crystal, her form still and lifeless upon the hospital bed. My mother's tears fell like raindrops, mingling with the silent sobs that wracked her body. Beside her stood my father, his normally stoic expression twisted in a mask of grief and disbelief.

yet the weight of her absence still hung heavy in the air, a constant reminder of the gaping void she had left behind. In the aftermath of her passing, my world had become a desolate landscape, devoid of the warmth and love that had once filled it.

Despite the passage of time, my parents remained silent, their absence a stark testament to the rift that had torn our family asunder. With each passing day, the chasm between us widened, leaving me stranded in a sea of isolation and despair.

Alone in my grief, I found solace in the familiar routines of work, the monotonous tasks providing a temporary distraction from the overwhelming sadness that threatened to consume me. But even there, amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life, I felt like a ghost, a shadow of my former self haunted by memories of what once was.

Meanwhile, the media circus surrounding Crystal's death only served to compound my misery, the relentless scrutiny of the public eye stripping away whatever semblance of privacy I had left. Reporters clamored for details, eager to capitalize on the tragedy that had befallen our family, while I retreated further into the shadows, a silent observer of my own unraveling.

As the day of Crystal's burial dawned, I found myself excluded from the somber proceedings, my parents' decision to bar me from attending a bitter reminder of the rift that had torn us apart. And so, with a heavy heart, I watched from afar, the grainy images on the television screen a cruel facsimile of the grief-stricken faces gathered at her graveside.

As my father delivered his eulogy, his words a poignant tribute to the daughter we had lost, I listened with bated breath, hanging on every word as though it were a lifeline in the storm of my sorrow. But it was my mother's speech that would forever haunt me, her words a damning indictment of the sisterly bond that had once bound us together.

"I'll end this speech by saying, Crystal was killed," she declared, her voice ringing out like a death knell in the silence of the room. My heart stuttered in my chest, the blood pounding in my ears as I struggled to comprehend the accusation she had just leveled against me.

"She was killed by her own sister, Aurora" my mother continued, her words a dagger to my already wounded soul. "Aurora killed Crystal because Asher refused to marry her."

“What!!!!” I said the glass in my hand shattering on the floor as I stared at the screen before me.

“Aurora killed our beloved daughter Crystal William out of jealousy because Asher Black was going to marry Crystal “ .

My mom repeated as I froze at the screen.

That's when I realized that her dad just destroyed me.

My mother destroyed every sanity and a glimpse of hope I had left.

Like a merciless storm, her words razed the fortress of my heart, leaving me defenseless and utterly shattered.
