Chapter Ninety

Emma's unsettled stomach heaved as she sprinted towards the bathroom. The ghastly scene of Sheryl Jones' gruesome murder that had just played out before her eyes was seared into her psyche like an inescapable nightmare.

She found herself bent over the closet, vomiting until her throat burned and her chest heaved with exhaustion. Collapsing onto the tiled floor, she clenched her eyes shut, yet the disturbing image refused to dissipate.

After what felt like an interminable amount of time, Emma dragged herself back to the room, her hands trembling as she closed the video.
