The sound of the door opening made me look up. Sean stepped in, his suit slightly wrinkled from the day, but his face was alert.

"Good timing," I said, waving him in.

He closed the door behind him and sat down across from me. "I found out how the case came to swing again ,You might want to sit for this."

I leaned back. "I’m already sitting. Talk."

Ethan exhaled. "It started twenty years ago. Your grandfather partnered with C Company on a real estate project. Two people managed that deal. One was your grandfather’s man. The other was Nick C Company’s project lead."

I frowned. The name rang a bell.

"Go on."

"There was some kind of dispute. No one knows the exact details, but Nick and the man from your grandfather’s company got into an argument on-site. It ended with Nick pushing him off an unfinished building. He died instantly."

My stomach twisted. "And no one knew about this?"

"There were no cameras. It was still under construction. Nick said it was an accident. The project mov

  • The Billionaire’s Untamed Possession   A Fresh Start

It was a brand new day.The sun was shining, the air was crisp, and for the first time in weeks, I didn’t feel like I was drowning. My mom’s surgery bill had been paid just like that. I knew it was because of him. My boss.I hadn’t even asked, not directly at least. But he knew. Somehow, he just knew.I walked into the office with a small smile on my face, clutching my bag tightly. My steps were light, hopeful. I was finally ready to give this job my full attention. But that mood didn’t last long.“Hey.”I stopped. Jessica was standing in front of me with her usual icy glare. Her arms were crossed, and she looked me up and down like she was scanning a barcode.“Molina told me your salary was paid in advance?” she asked, loud enough for a few heads to turn.I froze for a second. My stomach twisted. So people knew already? I swallowed and nodded. “Yes,” I replied quietly.Jessica’s eyebrows shot up. “Yes?” she repeated with a mocking laugh. “You’ve been working here what… four days? And

  • The Billionaire’s Untamed Possession   ML POV

"You know," I said, breaking the silence again, hoping to shift the atmosphere in the car, "you handled that contract situation really well today."She didn’t react at first, just blinked and turned her head slightly, eyes still distant. Then, slowly, she looked at me with a raised eyebrow. "Thanks. I was just doing my job."Her voice was calm, but there was a guarded edge to it, like she was still somewhere else mentally stuck in because of a phone call she’d just taken. I studied her expression, the way her lips were set in a thin line, how she sat straighter than usual, like bracing herself for something.I offered a small smile, wanting to draw her out of whatever space she was trapped in. "No, you were sharp. If it weren’t for your quick thinking, we might have walked away with a terrible deal."That got a slight reaction. Her eyes flickered to mine, and for a second, I thought I saw a spark of the old Evelyn, the one who never backed down from a challenge, who had a subtle but c

  • The Billionaire’s Untamed Possession   Sean's POV

Ethan's name lighting up my phone screen stirred something in me. I didn’t let it show though Evelyn was right beside me, her arms crossed, staring quietly out of the car window. I opened the message casually, thumbing over the screen like it was nothing. But inside, a cold ripple ran down my spine.Ethan never texted without a reason, never during work hours, never when things were routine. My thumb hovered over the message for a second longer than it should have. Just one second… but enough to feel the weight behind it. I tapped it open with forced ease, trying to keep my breathing steady. The words were short, direct just like him. “Call me. It’s urgent.”Urgent. That word knotted in my gut.I stared at the screen for a beat too long, my mind already racing through possibilities. Ethan didn’t panic. If he said urgent, it meant the ground had already started to shift beneath us.“Everything okay?” Evelyn’s voice broke through, soft but alert. She didn’t turn to look at me.I forced

  • The Billionaire’s Untamed Possession   Evelyn’s POV

Evelyn’s POVI gripped my phone tightly, staring at the screen as if it might change the reality of the call I had just received. My heart pounded against my ribs, a tangled mix of anxiety, relief, and something unfamiliar, something warm.Across from me, Sean still had his fingers on the keyboard as he worked. The usual calmness in his expression remained, but the moment I let out a shaky breath, he looked up.“What is it?” His voice was steady, but there was a slight crease in his brow. “Did the hospital call?”I nodded, suddenly feeling small beneath his gaze. “Yes. They… they said the payment was received.” I swallowed, the words feeling heavy on my tongue. “Sean… did you transfer the money?”His fingers stilled on the keyboard. For a moment, he just watched me, as if deciding how much to say. Then, with a slight nod, he leaned back in his chair.“You were drunk last night,” he said simply. “You told me that your mother needs surgery. You were crying, saying you had no money lef

  • The Billionaire’s Untamed Possession   Evelyn’s POV

Evelyn’s POVA dull ache throbbed in my head as I slowly blinked my eyes open. My body felt heavy, my mind groggy. The soft scent of cologne lingered in the air, unfamiliar yet strangely calming.I turned my head slightly, taking in my surroundings. This… this wasn’t my hotel room. My breath hitched as I sat up abruptly, panic rushing through me. Where was I? What happened last night? My heart pounded against my ribs as flashes of hazy memories flooded my mind. I had been drinking… but after that?My gaze darted around until it landed on Sean. He stood near the window, casually buttoning his crisp white shirt, his broad shoulders and toned muscles on full display for a brief moment before he covered them up. Heat rushed to my cheeks.”Oh my god, did we have sex last night?”The thought sent a panic through me. My eyes darted toward Sean, searching his expression for any clues. He must have sensed my distress because he turned to me, his expression unreadable but calm. “Don’t worry,” h

  • The Billionaire’s Untamed Possession   Drunken Evelyn

Dinner with Evelyn wasn’t something I’d planned lightly. When she accepted my invitation, I couldn’t help but feel a surge of satisfaction, though I made sure to keep my excitement buried beneath a cool exterior. We sat across from each other in the softly lit restaurant, the warm glow of candles spreading an almost ethereal light on her face. She looked nervous, her hands fidgeting slightly with the edge of her napkin. I couldn’t blame her. This wasn’t exactly her element.“Thank you for coming,” I said, my voice steady. “I wanted to clear a few things up.”Evelyn gave me a small nod, her eyes searching mine. “Clear what up?”I leaned back in my chair, taking a moment to gather my thoughts. “Jessica.” Her name alone was enough to make Evelyn stiffen slightly. I noticed it and softened my tone. “I’ve seen how she’s treated you, and I don’t approve of it.”Evelyn’s brow furrowed. “Then why tolerate her?”“It’s complicated,” I admitted. “Her father was my father’s driver. They both die

  • The Billionaire’s Untamed Possession   Job Letter

I could hardly believe it when the offer letter came through. My heart raced as I held the paper in my hands, staring at the bold print with my name on it. I’d finally landed the job, and I couldn’t wait to tell Celina. She was my biggest supporter and the first person I always wanted to share my happiness with. The café was bustling when I arrived, and the smell of fresh coffee immediately soothed my nerves. I spotted Celina waving at me from a corner booth. Her grin widened as I approached. “You look like you’ve got good news,” she teased, leaning forward with eager eyes.I slid into the seat across from her, practically bursting with excitement. “I got the job! I’m starting on Monday!”Celina let out a squeal loud enough to turn heads, but I didn’t care. “Evelyn, that’s amazing! I knew you could do it. We have to celebrate when it's time to cut the cake, not just coffee.”“Or maybe you should frame that offer letter,” she added, smirking. “You know, to remind yourself of how aweso

  • The Billionaire’s Untamed Possession   Chapter 3

The hum of the elevator barely registered in my mind as I checked my watch for the fifth time. I had canceled my meeting that afternoon to pick a special gift for my grandfather’s birthday. It wasn’t something I normally did work always came first but today was different. My grandfather, the man who raised me single-handedly after the loss of my parents, was turning seventy. I owed him everything.Stepping into the luxury boutique, my sharp eyes scanned the shelves lined with antique watches and pens. My attention, however, was drawn to a voice light but tinged with frustration."Just another rich person who can’t appreciate anything.”The words weren’t loud, but I caught every syllable. Turning subtly, my curiosity was piqued. She was young, probably mid-twenties, with a determined glint in her eyes as she talked with the store clerk. A single strand of hair fell loose from her bun, softening her otherwise tense expression.Amused, I lingered nearby, pretending to examine a shelf of
