I lifted my eye lids bit by bit and soon I was wide awake.

I batted my lashes before turning to see Mr Adam staring at me.

He looked relieved and our eyes locked.

"Hey..." He said and drew his seat close.

I felt pains around my body and a syringe being pierced into my hand.

I sighed and tried to sit up but couldn't due to the pains.

"What happened?" I muttered and he took my hand.

"You've been unconscious for two days" He replied and I gasped feebly.

"Two days???

Where's Brandon?" I asked.

"He's with the chef - outside. I was so worried about you that I couldn't leave yoir side after the operation" He said and I smiled.

"I missed you so much" he said and I blushed the more.

"I don't know who he was. He was in a black attire and he barged into my room. Before I could make a statement, he fired his gun at me" I narrated remembering the whole thing.
