Chapter - 30

The next day, the newly weds had breakfast together, only the mood was much more subdued than it usually was. 

It wasn't as if they weren't talking to each other, but things just seemed different. And that was somehow worse. 

Trinity tried to tell herself that this was how it should be. That this was better, but her heart still hurt. There was an awkwardness in their actions that had never been there before, not even when they'd been practically strangers to each other and Trinity hated it. 

Dmitri cleared his throat. "So, we're leaving for our honeymoon today, around eleven."

Trinity's eyebrows raised. "We are?" 

Even though they'd gotten married, the fact that they'd eventually go on a honeymoon had never really crossed her mind, mostly because theirs wasn't exactly a traditional marriage.
